We are leaving friday morning!! Can't wait:) One of us will be carrying a backpack, I know it won't be a problem on the mild rides but what about the wilder ones, do they have a place to put them or can we still wear it on our backs? I don't want to put in the locker because it will have camera, snacks, punchos ect.

I wore a backpack in the parks and on all the rides, some have pockets in front of your seats, or the was enough room beside you on the seats or be your feet. I don't remember every really "letting it out" of my hands.

I always carry one and never ran into any problems, although I can't remember what I did do with it on some of the 'wild' rides... Pretty sure there is always some place you can put it.

We just got back and when we rode something 'wilder" like RnRC or ToT or Space I would sit down and let put my leg through one of the backpack straps and have the strap on the part of my knee so I could hold it -if necessary. That way it wouldn't get thrown out or anything. I know it probably wouldn't, but I felt better doing it this way.

HTH!

We always carry a backpack full of snacks and stuff for ourselves and the kids. There always seems to be a place to put it while on the ride (under your legs or just holding onto the strap). Like someone else posted I never let it out of my hands, and it was never a problem.

I also put a large trash bag inside of the backpack for the day we do the Kali Rapids. Plenty of room but definetely wet. I put th backpack in the bag (you must knot the top) and than throw it out when we are done riding. We almost ruined a camera the first time without a bag.

Another vote for behind your feet with one of your legs going through the straps! :bounce:

But even better and less painfull is a couple of fanny packs! Then you don't need to take it off just turn it a little.

I'm glad you asked this question ahake, we are leaving tonight and will be carrying our things around in a backpack this trip as well - I guess I'll be trying the "strap around the leg" trick soon :teeth:
