Backpack/fanny pack for Parks

What about if between my husband and I we carry a fanny pack with passes, $, Credit Card, resort key, sunglasses and a backpack for ponchos, snacks, possibly a bathing suit (for Epcot fountains) one time and possibly a princess costume for a breakfast another time, etc.?

I'll be carring a backpack when we head to WDW. I have two young children and need one. I was wondering if I'd look stupid also using a fanny pack to carry my money, passes, ID and credit cards? I have an area in my backpack for this but it's so annoying to take the backpack off and dig for it. This way I could just unzip the fanny pack and get what I need.

Are you the sole adult? If not, may be you might consider my game plan of wearing one of those items and then having the other adult wear the other.

Kis,

No, my DH is coming but he's not the type to "carry" anything but stuff in his pockets. I guess I'll just use my backpack.:D

I'm not too sure if this will help. I mean, I've yet to go to WDW. When my family goes places where there's a lot of walking and we're outside most of the time, we bring the umbrella stroller and a backpack. We place the backpack on the stroller most of the time. (We don't put the $$ on that, but in my purse or my husband's pockets.) I'm thinking that if you had that sort of option then you could use the fanny pack, too.

I have tried both and narrowed it down to two over time. My top choice is a fanny pack I found at sports authority with lots of padding, wide waist strap and twin water bottles one on either side. On some occasions I will take my camelback hiking back pack with water pouch built in.:wave2:

Wearing a backpack is uncomfortable for me, so last summer I bought a micro-fiber "healthy-back bag" from the LL Bean outlet. I can wear it over my shoulder like my purse, but it has a padded shoulder strap, lots of pockets on the inside and outside ... even a place to carry a 16 oz water bottle.

I was able to fit 3 ponchos (folded in a ziplock bag), my camera, a mini-umbrella and two 5x7 CM albums for collecting autographs.

I also wore a small fanny pack to carry my checkbook/wallet and KTTW in, even though there was room in my bag for them I found it more convenient to have them in a fanny pack.

Memaw2Wm: I have been eyeing the "Healthy Back bag" in the LL bean
catalog, which size do you have? The small or regular?? Im looking to carry
a small" lunch bag" cooler with 1 or 2 water bottles, my insulin pen and prob a
few snacks. Do you think they'd be room in the small if I need to bring a few extra things to the theme park or water parks??
