Backlot Express A Really Good Counter Service

Backlot Express was another restaurant we ate at over our June trip and we really enjoyed it. First the atmosphere is good and its AIRCONDITIONED. To many of Hollywoods Counter Service is outside and when we went eating outside would have been brutal. The girls loved their Dark Side Chicken and Waffles and I enjoyed the Royal Guard Burger after sending the 1st one back when they put pepperjack cheese on it after I said no cheese (dietary restrictions due to religion). The person who took our order apologized and they got me what I ordered in less than 5 minutes. They also brought both girls some absolutely good cupcakes which were Star Wars themed. Just a good solid meal and with the air conditioning I almost had to drag the girls back outside.

I definitely think this is an overlooked spot - which is ok with me! If I'm eating 2 meals at DHS, then I like to do one sit down and 1 QS. We used to save our pizza day for Rizzo's but the last 3 trips, we've ended up here instead. I get the children's chicken and waffles, too. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating and that they have a drink and toppings bar.
