Backing out of Disney Offer

We have our paperwork and contract in our hands from Disney and have not sent it back yet. We still have a couple of days. If we back out do we get our deposit back? I haven't read anywhere about that? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Yes, they will give you back your deposit.

Under Florida law, you have 10 days from the time YOU sign the purchase agreement to rescind. If you exercise that legal right, you get a full refund of any deposit you paid.

Do you have particular issues that are causing you to have second thoughts?

No, we are doing DVC. We having been looking into it for over a year. Luckily we were able to buy in at low points for now. Going through some refinancing of home and consolodating of debt. I was looking into resale but the cash required upfront is more than we have available at the moment.

So we are going to stick with our low points now and in the next 6 or so months once things get settled and we have some more cash buy additional points.

Luckily I have been reading the boards and all the valuable information out there so we can get a good deal when we are able to buy more.

You a right to cancell Fla is either 3 or 7 days to cancel contract.. Period.. you are ok

Yes you will get your deposit back. Think long and hard about it, however. We have been members since 1997 and it has been a wonderful experience for our family.
