If we wanted to purchase the background tracks from, say, Camp MinnieMickey or Tomorrowland, are they available? I know you can download (in pieces mostly) the background music from Epcot, but how about the other parks?

I know that at DL they have CDs that have music from the parks on it. I'm sure they have something similar at WDW but I'm not positive. (I've never really looked). But I'm like you, I want to be able to here the sounds of Disney as much as possible.

The WDW stations on Live365 are a good fix, but I'd love to have the music in my personal collection. Keep me updated if you find anything out... .

There are compilation cds....i'm sure if you wanted to......you could download them.... ;)

There is a 2-disc Happiest Celebration on Earth CD that includes much of the background music from the parks as well as the "theme songs" from the more popular rides, as well as some lesser known ones. (There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, etc)

It's available here:

And here's some other Disney CD's that might be of interest:

I hate to be a pain, but I must say: please don't pirate music. It's important for the wellbeing of everyone (including Disney World) that you pay for what you listen to.

I bought a lot of my Disney CD's with park themes and music from Disney Merchandising at 1-407-363-6200. Though I have not compared all prices, I found that Disney Merchandising is much less expensive than another site listed. :thumbsup2

You can go to Live356.com and search for Disney. I love the ParkHopper, Mouse World, and Sorceror Radio stations. They play a lot of bkgrd music from all the parks. Right now, I'm on MouseWorld and I'm listening to Main Street bkgrd music. :cloud9:

It says you can buy them, but I've tried and it doesn't work for me. You can either buy the CD on Amazon (Theres a link on the radio site) or download it to iTunes (Doesn't work. I've tried it many times)

But you can do a search on Amazon for Disney music. There are a lot of CD's that have music from rides and areas in the parks. I got a lot of them from Disney World and Amazon.

Good luck in your search!!

I listen to Live365, too, and that's why I wanted to buy the CDs--to have that music in my personal collection. I've not been able to purchase or download via the Live365 site either, which is why I started this thread.

Thanks for the info on the CDs at laughingplace and the Disney merchandise number. Great ideas!

I know that in AK there's a great CD you can buy with backround music. I bought it in the shop across from Tusker House. I don't remember the name of it, but it came in a green case.

Found a little trick to bump up my collection a few weeks back...

If you listen to Live365 through WinAmp, there's a WinAmp plug-in called StreamRipper that will save the music stream to your desktop. It doesn't split the songs up, so if you let it run for a couple hours you have a large, two hour mp3. If you want them split, there are a few mp3 spliters out there that will do the work, maybe not perfect, but close.

WinAmp: http://www.winamp.com/
StreamRipper: http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/

Mouse House Radio is another good theme park station on Live365. MouseWorld Radio plays the MK welcome followed by the ticket area loop followed by the opening and finally the Main Street USA music every monring at 8AM. (That's where I discovered the large, unsplit, two hour mp3 file. :) ) Great way to start the work day because you'd MUCH rather be hearing the music live. :teeth:

The 2 disc Happiest Celebration on Earth CD is great. I listen to it everyday. You can get it from Disney Merchandising or laughing place.

On Live365, listen to D-Magic Radio. Everyday starts out at one park and takes you through the entire park from start to end. MK starts with the Main Street music and goes throught the whole park, Tomorrowland, Fantasy Land, Frontier Land, and Adventure Land. They even have the whole Timekeeper attraction. How I wish I had seen that. They play the original Alien Encounter. All of the parades and the fireworks. This is my absolute favorite station. I have a lot of the Disney park CDs but I sure wish they included ALL the attractons!

Do you have to pay for Live365 after you have listened to it for free for a certain amount of time? Thanks!

Only if you don't want to hear all the commercials. I just resigned for 2 yrs for about $88. In my opinion it's well worth it. I just love listening to it all day at work!!

The Disney Magic Radio on Live 365 sounds like a great one to play, but you must be a VIP member. Rats! I am saving my pennies for WDW, so I will just keep listening to Park Hopper Radio on Live 365 for now, as well as the others that are free.

How do I listen to this "Live 365" - I found it (a while ago but no longer have the website) and I was too dumb to figure out how to listen. What am I doing wrong? Is there some easy way to navigate ... say .... "click up on left hand side on the WHATEVER button that tells new users what to do?" Hope one of you can help me.

On the real subject of this thread, I don't know if anyone mentioned Amazon but they have some Disney themed music too. Fun cause you can listen to a snippet of each -- but within the park seems to be the best deal -- IMAGINE THAT -- everything is NOT more expensive inside the parks!

I  WDW!!! I wanna go back!!!!

Try going to this link: http://www.live365.com/stations/torg0?play

It worked, it worked :cheer2: I'm able to listen to Live 365 - this time I got a prompt about turning on pop-ups so that was a problem but I don't remember if this was the website I was on before or not! Thanks.
