Back today from 9 nights at the Poly Concierge - Everything was fantastic from check-in to check-out. Concierge staff was great, room was ready early in the day (room decorated for my sons' birthdays), no smell in room or corridors in the Hawaii building. The GCH fountain looks great (let me know if you want pics).

I would love to see pictures of the resort. Can you tell us about the food offerings at the concierge lounge?

thanks and welcome back

Glad to hear you had a great trip:) The Polynesian is our favorite resort and once you do concierge there ain't no going back:D

I would love to see and hear all you have to offer. We are staying there on our next trip. I would love to see pictures and hear what they had to offer. Thanks, Wendi

Welcome back. Glad you had a great time.

I'm glad you had a great trip. We will be staying Polynesian concierge for 8 nights in July. I would love to hear all about it from food offerings in the lounge to what room you were in. Did you have garden or lagoon view?

Karen

Happy to hear your trip was a wonderful experience. We'll be there in Nov.:) I would love to also see any and all pictures. Could you please share the food offerings with us and your experience with the lounge. Did you stay Garden or Lagoon.

Glad to hear you liked it! I will be there at the Poly concierge in nine days:bounce:

I too would like to know what view, what floor, and see the pics of the fountain. I squeezed 2 poly days into our trip in July--concierge LV for my BDay!!

Pictures please!! :)

Our family will also be staying in concierge this Aug. We have been to the Poly many times, and decided this year to treat ourselves. Would love to see pictures and figure out the best floor to stay on. Right now we have a GV, but am tempted to go with LV. Help me out please.

As far as the food offerings go, all I can say is that the information that Tikiman has on his website under Concierge is bang on. I was chatting with "Chef Dick" one night (one of the CM's who prepares the evening food offerings) and he is aware of Tikiman's site - he agreed that it was great and that he liked being displayed on it! Tikiman lists the menu by day, When we came around to our second Friday, second Saturday, etc. the menu repeated. I would comment that I wish that they had the P&J sandiches available all the time/every day - my 5 year old really liked them. I would encourage you to ask for anything that you don't see - After buying yogurt for breakfast for the first few days, I learned that they have it for the asking in the Concierge kitchen (along with chocolate milk, etc.). We probably didn't take advantage of the food as much as others - ate most meals at restaurants and the kona cafe - great mahi mahi and crabcakes! Every time we needed a table in the Lounge we were able to get one, and there was plenty of food.

The View- We were in 1521 - Garden View/First Floor. My request for a first floor was accomodated - no problem, and my view was great - quiet pool/gardens. I think I will pay for Lagoon next time, I watched Fantasy in the Sky 2x from the Lagoon side of Hawaii, and thought how nice it would be to be on my balcony/lanai. Overall though, this was very minor - and the garden view was fine. In my opinion I would go for GV Concierge over LV Non-Concierge - the extra service is noticable.

The staff - A real pleasure to deal with. Rick (worked mornings in the first desk by the front door) made my 5 year old sons week - constantly played around with him, and added a real personal touch to our vacation. My son wanted his picture by the end of the week, and wanted him to come over our house.

I would like to share some pics of the GCH, but I can't figure out how to insert????? I'm a newbie to chat rooms - maybe someone can explain, or I would be happy to email as attachments....

PS - If I were not staying in Hawaii, I think Tokelau would be your best bet......

I just found out that I need to be in Orlando for work purposes the second week of June. I had such a good time last week, I thought I would head right back to Hawaii - WRONG! Sold Out, only rooms available 6/5 - 6/12 are Boardwalk Inn or Port Orleans FQ - I'm heading to the Boardwalk!

theaslip.....

how were the crowds? and the weather?

thanks.......11 more days........;)

If you have any pictures from your room of your view I would love to add them to the web pages. You can email me with them.

Steve

Disney Kim - Color - I would describe the crowds as average. We did most MK attractions in the AM, and were able to hit most major attractions by lunchtime with very little waiting. We typically were in the castle at 855A, and did Dumbo, Pooh, Pan, Small World, Haunted Mansion, Splash, & Thunder by ~ 12N. On other days we would substitute Space, Indy Speedway, Jungle, Pirates, Toontown.....We went back to the Poly to eat lunch and chill out by the pool. By lunchtime I would say most attractions averaged :30 minute waits, Splash & Thunder were :60. Weather was Partly Cloudy 85-87 most days, humid with frequent rainshowers/t-storms (couple of days were wet all day). They said that they are in a summer-like pattern earlier this year than most.

Steve - I didn't take a picture of the view from my room! Now that I think about it I can't believe that I didn't. Anyway, I'll be back in August (Hawaii) and will definitley do it then for you. Let me know if there are any other shots that you would like as well.

BTW - Before we left I introduced my wife to Tikiman's Site - Naturally she liked it - - But the whole week she kept saying that she felt guilty that we were there and Tikiman wasn't!

Glad you had a great time! We loved it last May and will be back in 4 days. I can't wait!!
