I actually have the first day written already, but have to get the pics uploaded. DH is home this weekend, so we should be able to work on it a bit.

Did you get those pictures uploaded yet??

Okay, so while planning our trip, we really got into some of the trip reports on the DIS. Of course, being the foodie I am, I also got into quite a few of the dining reports while trying to make decisions regarding our ADRS for the trip. One of the best dining report writers (and also trip report writers) on the DIS is olboyshoi (Brenda). She and her husband Jay have taken many trips to WDW and have been joined recently by Sheldon J. Plankton, who wants to take over the world (or at least obtain the recipe for crabby patties). So, after making our reservations, we asked Brenda if Plankton might be interested in joining us on our adventures.

About a week before we left, we got a special delivery from Missouri, via FedEx:

We came outside to see what the delivery could be and guess who graced us with his presence???

That's right! Plankton decided to join us and make another attempt to take over the world (Disney World, that is)!

Next up: The Departure

FIRST!!!

I know who you're talking about. The Plankton is a hoot. Since I don't do PTRs, I'm joining in now and I really am first, right?

Thanks for joining in, Disneyolic! DW is doing most of the writing, but I'm handling the set pieces and will be chiming in along the way.

saw u on Buzz's and am here to here all about it.

Have you ever watched Spongebob Squarepants? Plankton is the evil genius on the show.

You should check out Brenda's dining report:
Hungry Are the Damned for a full explanation.

I didn't wake you! Maybe it was DM... :rolleyes1

And with regard to Plankton, read Brenda's trip report from last year here: Hungry Are The Damned. Actually, Plankton has been in several of her trip reports and even some others out on the DIS. He makes his way around and decided to join us on our trip.

From Wikipedia:

Sheldon J. Plankton, or simply "Plankton," as he is known, is a tiny, evil, egomaniacal zooplankton and Mr. Krabs' business arch rival (although, according to the episode "Friend or Foe," they were once friends). Plankton runs a competing restaurant called the Chum Bucket (located directly across the street from the Krusty Krab). His stated goals in life are to steal the secret Krabby Patty formula from the Krusty Krab, and to rule the world. He is married to a computer "W.I.F.E." (Wired Integrated Female Electroencephalograph) named Karen (voiced by Jill Talley). Plankton and Karen first appear in the episode "Plankton!," in which it is revealed that he is 1% evil and 99% hot gas. Plankton is voiced by Doug Lawrence.

Hope this helps! Plankton had many adventures during our trip and we've got the pictures to prove it!

Oh. my. goodness. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That lego Plankton is as big as you are!!! :lmao:

Thanks for the props on the trippies, much appreciated! Jay wants to know if this makes us famous or infamous. :confused3

Seriously funny TR you've got going here - I'm looking forward to the rest! :thumbsup2

Aw! I feel so welcomed!

I can't believe some people don't know who Plankton is! We watch SpongeBob here all the freakin' time!!! Plus Tom Kenny (SpongeBob's voice) is from the Syracuse area (near me) so that is like totally cool.

Oh, and did you notice that once I was here they all flock here? They try and say that they read it on Buzz's thread but it's because I'm here. :cool1:

Now, update please. popcorn::

After much trepidation about whether or not we should be leaving our little girl, we threw caution to the wind and decided that Mommy and Daddy needed a vacation! Indy got about three inches of snow the night before our trip, so I awoke to a phone call at 5:45 am from the school system telling me that the schools had a two hour delay. So much for putting DD6 on the bus before leaving for the airport. I guess Grandpa will have to do it.

After Grandpa arrived, we loaded up Plankton and our bags, said our sweet goodbyes and left for the airport.

Because of the snow, we weren’t sure what the road conditions would be, so we made sure to leave early. Of course, there were no problems along the way and we got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. We asked (and were granted) exit row seats upon check-in at the AirTran counter! Score!

We dropped off our luggage at the scanner and made our way to the food court to grab some grub. I know that DH got some McDonalds breakfast stuff, but I don’t remember if I ate anything or not. I know we shared a diet Coke though.

Even Plankton had a sip.

After walking through security (no lines at all), we got to our gate and watched the crew de-icing all the planes.

Our flight boarded and we left about five minutes early! Another score! After an uneventful flight, we arrived in sunny Orlando at just after 1:30 pm (also about 5 minutes early).

Eric went to the rental car counter to pick up the car while I went down to baggage claim to grab our luggage.

This is where the luck of the day ran out! We waited close to an hour for our luggage! There were five planeloads of people standing by the same carousel waiting for their luggage to arrive. Of course, I was standing next to a woman who had never flown before and kept asking if her flight’s bags were out there yet. She must have looked at the tags of fifteen different black bags before understanding that none of the bags for her flight were out there yet! Newbies…

I gotta say that after this experience, I’m thinking that Magical Express is a pretty good deal! I’m sure we would have gotten to our hotel a lot quicker!

Anyway, after getting our luggage, we grabbed the car off the lot and headed toward WDW!

We stopped at the SuperTarget for some groceries along the way. On the way into the store, we ran into a celebrity look-a-like! We saw a man that looks just like the “Crabman” in My Name is Earl! It was hilarious. I only wish we could have gotten a picture of him!

In order to pay homage to ZZUB, we picked up some Pop-Tarts, along with our other supplies for the weekend.

It was at Target that we also had our first dining experience.

2 Pepperoni Italia Pizza Combos
2 Diet Cokes
Total Spent: $10.42

Review: Pretty good pizza, especially for Target. It was tasty and satisfying, probably more so because of how hungry we were! I would order it again if I were at Target and hungry. The Diet Coke was quite flat though. But we drank it because we were thirsty.

Plankton seemed to enjoy the pizza too.

From Target we drove on to WDW. As we drove under the arches, we felt that excitement that only comes with a trip to the World! Yea! We were finally here!
