Erika, you crack me up! Dan and I totally want to move to the southeast as soon as the kids are grown up. He wants to work in Epcot, I sort of want to work at the MK when we are retired. It never hurts to hope! Our friends think we are insane and weird, which is why I love my disboard friends! They get it!

Yeah, Southwest is made for people like you and me! I have been toying with trying to come a day earlier for our October trip and staying one night at AKL or WL (if we can get it) before we head to SSR! I am always scheming and planning. Its cheaper than therapy!

Oh my gosh we always do that!!! We're always trying to add a day... one time a few years ago we were staying at the Poly and didn't want to go home so we hopped on the DISboards from my laptop, rented DVC points to stay at BCV, changed our flights, and stayed another week! Our friends here think we are out of our minds, I've actually lost friends because they are either so jealous that we go so much or they think we spend too much money. But in my opinion, I'd rather have a lifetime of WDW memories with my kids than a million dollars in the bank. I'm the happiest broke person in the world!!!

That's so funny--- we do the same thing. I'm in nursing school (former teacher), so I figure maybe I can work at leat part time in Celebration Hospital, and DH (an electrician and avid golfer) wants to golf during the day and drive the busses at night (or maybe work at one of the golf courses on property).

DH and I even say if we had to sweep Main Street after the parades that would be OK with us!

Ok, I know I said I wasn't going to put any pics of the kids on this thread since it's our anniversary trip, but this is one of my favorites from May!

Now I am off to Walmart for our last minute trip supplies! Gotta stock up on toiletries, medicines, etc, that we might need, also we're going to look for a soft-sided cooler to bring with us down to the pool (is that allowed?? we've never done it before???) I actually managed to get the suitcases out today, and I've got the last load of laundry in the wash. Tomorrow will be packing day! HOORAY!!! Then we leave Friday afternoon to drop the kids off at grandma's... then WDW on Sunday!!!

Well, we leave tomorrow!!! We'll spend two nights with the kids at grandma's house, getting them all settled in and adjusted, then we leave early Sunday morning for WDW! I have been packing like crazy all day ... and I still have a ton left to do. I just keep adding, and adding, and adding, because I am a major OVERPACKER! I bring way too much, I admit it, but I can't help it... it's all part of my OCD.

The kids and DH are pretty much packed, I saved myself for last. I have to narrow down how many outfits to bring... it's so hard to know what I'll feel like wearing or how many times a day we'll change clothes. I know it's going to be hot, and I know it's probably going to rain. I've got the Mickey ponchos packed, without the kids we'll just brave the rain and keep on going!

I'm heading over now to the LIVE REPORTS board to start my new thread there! I love doing live reports, so I'm really excited to get going with it. Come join me .... come along to WDW with us!!!!!

I did change my flights so I get an extra day in October! You would have been very proud of the way I sold that one to dh!

Hi Erika, Just wondering the picture of your family with Mickey I noticed your sandals, I have been looking for some comfy sandals to wear when I go in Sept, usually wear sneakers but feel they are sometimes too hot. And the ones you had on look like what I am looking for.

We are going for our 25th wedding anniversary- so Happy anniversary to you too!!!!!We went on honeymoon and have been back 3 times with our children last year in May was the most recent.Our children are now 19&22 and my 22 year old just graduated from college so last year was probably the last family trip we will have and we also brought my mom, we had a great time stayed at CBR. This time DH & I are staying at POR.

Love reading your trip reports , you sound a lot like me I am always on this board and have my stuff all organized in a binder like you- I feel the fun of Disney is all the planning and it makes for a great vacation. People who just wing it usually end up being disappointed. This will be the first time we will be using the DDP so excited about that made all my ADR's.

Hey there! Those blue sandals are Merrells. They make them with or without the back heel strap. They are very comfy and come in tons of different colors. You can probably order them at zappos.com or find them at most nicer shoe stores. I also have a pair of brown leather sandals that are Earth. I highly recommend those too. They have a dropped heel so your foot actually sits back... it's hard to get use to at first but they are great!
