Hi,

I am returning to Universal for the first time since 2000. Any tips would be appreciated. Plan is arrive Monday Aug 4 AM and Return Friday Aug 8 AM. Got Entertainment Discount at Royal Pacific for Water View Room at $ 125/night. Is there better deals out there. Flying Jet Blue from JFK to MCO at $ 160 round trip, could have done better but would have to cut some time out of the short trip. Plan on getting 5 day Passes off internet, any better deals? What is the best deal on transfers for a Party of three? Any other ideas or tips would be greatly apprecated.

Thanx

Don't know about the flight info (I'm close enough to drive !!:p )
But your rate at the Royal Pacific is great !!!!
Have you signed up to be a Lowes first member yet ??
You can do that by going to www.loewshotels.com or by calling 1-800-563-9712. They will give you a member # right away on the phone , then call & add it to your reservation.
Being a Loews 1st member has all kinds of perks !! A welcome gift at check in, a free paper daily (local or USA Today) & upgrade if it's available !!!

The 5 day pass seems to be the best deal right now.

Don't forget to check in AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE !!! Even if the room isn't ready, you can get your room key & head to the parks for the Express Access !

Have a great time !

I also have to agree with checking in as soon as possible.

I arrived at the hotel at 8 AM and my room was ready!! Even though check-in is supposed to be I think 3 or 4 PM we got our room that morning! But if a room isn't ready, like seahag said, they give you your room key so you can get a head start using your FOTL priviledge!! :)

5 day consecutive pass is the best deal right now. Saves a lot of money. So you made the right decision there!!

I know nothing about the flight either since I live about 2 1/2 hour drive away from US and never have to worry about flying.

Your deal on a Waterview room is actually very good! I got a standard room with a standard view (yuck - highway I think) for about $110 with entertainment card. And yes, become a LOEWS member! You can use your membership the first day you get there! You don't even need your card yet - just your number. Let them know at the check-in desk. They actually updated the benefits with some really nice things. Your welcome gift can be milk and cookies, fruit and water, or some red wine. Etc. Check it out :)

There is a special deal if you use MasterCard and buy 4 five day passes (89.95+tax) you get a fifth five day pass free. It is only via an internet purchase.

By transfers, do you mean transportation from the airport? If so, a cab is probably your cheapest route and less time consuming, at about $30.00.

thanks for the info and the link! I already had a room at PBR reserved using entertainment card rate. I used your link to join Loews. Do you think we will still qualify for the "gift"? I marked the cookies and milk choice as my kids would love that!! thanks

Thanx for the Info. I will join Loews first for the bonus and look for a room upgrade. Is there any Water View roons that should be requested at the Royal Pacific that is closer to things or has a better view of the parks. Most likely I will go with Happy Limos the cost for round trip seems to be $ 75.00 with the Discount Coupon from Mouse Savers. Only three of us traveling so I won't be able to get or use the fifth pass free thing. I have an old US FAN CLUB card from four years ago, Is that still good. Made Resies at Emerrils for Aug 5.

Thanx

From what I understand, Fan Club Cards do not expire (there is no expiration date on mine) so yours should still be good.

Have fun!
:)
