Back to the Candy Cane

We were all set to stay at the HOJO but the rates came down at the Candy Cane Inn. Now there is not a big price difference. Since the calendar for our May dates is out, the only night we could see the fireworks from our balcony at HOJO is Sunday. A balcony room is not a major perk anymore to us. We were planning to go to DL on Sunday anyway. The noise of the highway was also a concern. Luckily I still had both reservations. (Well now I only have the ones at the Candy Cane Inn.)

My DH wanted to stay at the Candy Cane from the beginning. He thinks it will be more romantic since it is a smaller hotel than the HOJO. Plus the free shuttle is nice in case we are tired at the end of the day.

Either is very nice, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time regardless! CCI has a great reputation.

CCI gets great reviews, and it sounds like your hubby would prefer to stay there.

We loved the CCI. The free breakfast, shuttle and parking were major perks for us. It is older and quaint, but as a family of three, the room size is not an issue with us. Plus the grounds are beautiful and the staff very friendly.

I don't know what kind of rate you got, but we paid $99 (AAA rate) last spring. Have a great time!

We toiled over which place to stay last June, HOJOs or CCI. We ended up at HOJOs because of the ent rate, but honestly, you're going to have a great time at either place. Go for the cheaper one and use that money on a dinner or fun souvenir. Have a great time.
