Back to back rope drops?

Will be at disney two days mid october so will have to do back to back park days with a 3 and 4 year old. Planning to do DLR first since it opens til midnight then DCA the day after. Given we are doing rope drop back to back not sure if we can last til midnight the first night. Want to watch the night shows but even that might be too late, especially with youngins and doing rope drop again. Any way to catch a night show from outside park as we make walk back to the hotel?

While the fireworks are visible outside the park, you miss a lot by not watching inside the park. No other night show would be visible outside the parks.

If you aren't already, plan on taking a mid-day break back at the hotel. Taking a nap mid-day will help both you & your little one be able to stay up longer.
