We have never booked back to back packages and I was hoping for some help with a few questions. We are looking at staying a little over two weeks. When I tried to price more than 14 days on the Disney site it said you could only pick that package for 14 days..so I am assuming for stays over 14 days you have to book back to back packages , Is this true? If you book back to back packages do you have to make a deposit for both ? Or is the one deposit of $200 all that is required ? Thank you so much for any info you can share with me. :) Booking over a week is a all new to me and I am pretty confused.

You could book a 14 day package.. and then just book two nights at the end room only.. (crazy thought) ..

You'd save a LOT of money vs. booking a 2 or 3 day package.

Is that sarcasm? :confused3 So there is no way to book a longer package stay than 14 days? I thought of that but I really want to have the dining plan for the whole time. Thanks in advance for any help.

I would call Disney(1 407 WDISNEY) and talk to them directly. They should be able to answer your questions!
Also when are you going -I have a code but its only good through early March.

Thanks for the code offer.:) Unfortunately that won't help we are planning for this fall August-September.

You might want to consider purchasing an Annual Pass. It should be cheaper than a 10 day pass and an additional pass. You are correct that you wouldn't be able to have the dining plan both times, but you could look at utilizing the DDE card for all or part of the trip as well.

Oh gosh no.. I didn't mean it as sarcasm .. Seriously, I was trying to be helpful!

There is no way to book a MYW package with dining for longer than 14 days. That is correct. I confirmed that myself this morning with a CM buddy.

So yes, you would need to book back to back packages. According to her, lots of people do this.

So that's where it becomes important to price out the various packages. Find out what the best deal is. It might be that two 8 night packages are slightly cheaper than a 14 day package and a 2 night package.

My suggestion is you price out a 10 night package (a maxed out MYW ticket). And then price out your remaining days as a separate package. So for example, if you wanted 18 days, you'd price out a 10 night package and then an 8 night package. This could theoretically get you dining, and park entrances for everyday of your vacation ... with the lowest possible cost on the park tickets per/day.

Hoping this is helpful!

A couple of strategies that you might want to consider:

1. Book room only for your first and last night with a 14 day package in the middle. Your tickets and dining plan would be good from dawn on day 2 until midnight day 15. You'd be OOP for food on the travel days.

2. Book room only for you first two nights followed by your 14 day package. Use your first 2 days to visit non-Disney attractions like KSC.

3. Book room only for the entire trip and get MYW tickets for 10 days. The tickets expire 14 days from first use. So, you'll still want to do shopping, KSC or another non-Disney day to start or end your trip.

4. Book room only for the entire trip and get annual passes. Depending on the option you choose with the MYW tickets, this may not be as expensive as you would expect. Just consider it as a really big discount on your next trip. Also the flexibility is great.

5. If you want dining with the AP, you'll have to buy one day one park MYW tickets. So the cost of dining goes up by ~$5 per person per day.

Happy planning and good luck!

UK guests who book MYW packages can book beyond 14 nights. Otherwise 14 max is the rule of thumb limit.
You have good advice above.
Have a great trip! :cool1:
