Just wondering if on back to back cruising if you have to pack up and disembark, or if you can just leave your stuff on the ship??????? Anyone have any experience with this? I posted this earlier, but I don't think it went through..... I apologize if this is a duplicate post...

I have never done this, but if I remember from other posts...you don't have to get off the ship. You stay on and enjoy an empty ship for a few hours!

Even easier if you get the same room for both sailings. Sometimes it doesn't happen though.

We did this last fall. Once we decided to do back to backs, we did have to change our stateroom in order to make sure we had the same for both cruises. We went to breakfast on the last day of our first cruise at the normal time, then I double checked with guest services of what was off limits for us during the turnaround...to which they replied nothing! (Keep in mind the workout room is closed as well as half of decks 10 and 4 for bunkering. We did laundry, and when our stateroom hostess wanted to clean our room, we got a quick run in along half of deck 10/11 and took lots of pics of a perfectly empty ship. Checked in for #2 at about noon, and that was it. It is very cool to see how hard the CMs work during the turnaround. There is "non disney" music (I remember Michael Jackson for some reason) piping through the hallways...lots of "off stage" antics...not bad at all, but it is obviously a nice relaxing time for the stateroom hosts to let loose a bit :dancer: , all of whom are awesome!

We did a back to back a few years ago. We booked the same stateroom so we did not have to pack up. We were able to go anywhere on the ship. It was a great time to do laundry and just walk around!

THis is soooo interesting!!!! One day I hope we get to do this also..Does anyone know how it would work for a non-US citizen? Would we have to disembark???

Just being nosey!!!! :teeth:

two-foxes, you said you checked in for cruise #2 at noon. Who did you have to check in with? (We're doing back-to-back next year - double dip and Western Carib). When we booked, all the res agent (on board) could tell us was that services would be limited but she didn't really know how it worked. So thanks for the info provided.

We went to Guest Services on deck 3 to check in. They took our docs, etc there and handed us a new KTTW card and that was that! It was interesting, because no one really asked us what we were doing wandering the ship. I know back to backs are not all that uncommon, but I was still waiting for some CMs to say, "hey, your supposed to be gone, you stow-aways!" Our stateroom hostess and serving team knew, and our head waiter, Nick, took care of us to make sure we had good table mates for #2 ;) Oh, also a very nice touch....you get a little note from I believe the VP of DCL....(my friend has all my cruising stuff, so I forget who it is "from") thanking you for doing back to backs.

When we did our back to back in 2003, we went down to guest services at noon, they escorted us off the ship to the terminal, walked us up to a lady ahead of everyone else, checked us in, turned around and walked us back on the ship before everyone. It was great!!!! I think it depends who is at guest services at the time.

Any discounts for booking Back2Backs other than the usual early booking?

If we booked a Back2Back on our May 2006 for a Dec. 2008 while onboard what type of deals?

I would love to do a back2back maybe sail alone the first week with my immediate family and then have friends and family book for the 2nd week! Oh one can only dream

In my dreams that DH would book a B2B while onboard? But XMAS/NY 2008 would be a great time!

Oh yeah, back to my original question any discount?
