yeah, ive been backstabbed by a friend before.
i made friends with this girl, lets call her a. well, i met her in sixth grade, when we were both new girls (i'd transferred, shed just moved here). we instantly clicked. we made all of the same friends, we hung out together constantly, we were best friends. i even took her to an avril lavigne concert, with backstage passes and everything. it was great! front row seats, meeting avril, you get the picture.
so we were really good friends for two years, practically inseperable. then, well, lets just say things changed. i was pulling away a little bit, and telling her when she got out of line (which she did quite frequently). its amazing how much a person can change in just a two years. she was...ill try to be appropriate here...guy-crazy. but no guys liked her cuz she practically stalked everyone she liked (which, when listed, was literally like 15 guys). she started myspace. she dated online. she smoked. she made friends with potheads, and knowing her, she would start pot, too, because they did it. i even saw her cutting herself with a steak knife and putting it in her underwear drawer. basically, she wasnt the same girl, she was just plain messed up.
when i scolded her for all of these things, she started talking about me behind my back- starting rumors, the sort. so i stopped returning her calls, and because it was summer, she couldnt get ahold of me. now, she talks about me openly and glares, although sometimes she comes up to me complaining about her day, acting like she used to when we were still closer than twins.
either way, i dont regret anything anymore. now, i wont let her be friends with me. i know i saved my future, too. if id hung around her for much longer, i could have taken up those pitiful habits, too. and since we havent been friends, ive made better ones and my grades have gone up, too.
sorry i wrote so much. i just needed to vent. its been almost a year and i havent told anyone the full story. even now, i left out some details. thanks for the space!

Im sorry but that is just so childish, you are doing nothing but stooping to their level, and it is pointless. Just walk away, because they are not worth your time or energy.
