Last time we went to EPCOT, I was so excited to be seated in the front row of soarin. No dangley feet in my face this time around!!! But actually, the experience seemed worse to me! You could see the seam of the screen and it didn't really have that "my feet hitting the treetops" feeling.

Does anyone else here agree that the lower rows have better perspective than the front, all "feet" aside?

I suggest the middle tier and middle row. The feet aren't distracting if you focus on the screen.

Middle row, middle section for me. With the front and back rows you see the top and bottom of the screen, respectively. And with the left and right sections you see the sides of the screen. The screen edges are much more distracting to me than dangling feet. :)

Interesting I've always sat in the front row, middle section. I guess I've been lucky. Never noticed the top, bottom or edge of the screen.

This ride is awesome and I recommend it to everyone. Heights did bother me, and my first time on this ride I do become breathless a few times, but after the first time riding never had a problem again.

I like the front row middle the best!! We rode twice last week and our second trip was in the third row on the side and it was awful....

I like the middle row. I was all excited last time to get the front, but then I keeps looking at the sides of the screen and it was annoying.

The way the movie was filmed, practically all of the subject matter seen at the edges of the screen had moved from the middle 50% of the screen.

So if you can't see or didn't look at the edges, you didn't miss much.

Yes, if you are in the lower row, trees, etc. shown below will appear to be just under your feet.

I've been in the front and the back, and the back seemed more realistic to me. It was like I could feel the movement more, maybe it was because I couldn't peak out and see the top of the movie screen.:confused3

last year we rode soarin twice because of the wait times, and both times (lucky us) we sat in the front rows. I would definitly call it luck!

Front row, center is AWESOME! I cant believe we got that lucky :thumbsup2 It was definitely a cool experience sitting there, rather than on the ends and in the back

Now what would be the best place for those who are scared of heights? My DH and kids are excited about this ride but I am not a fan of heights at all. But I don't want to miss out on an experiance with my family due to my fears. Is it really bad? Is there a place to sit that would be better for me?

I prefer middle row and middle of the row, but it's kinda neat to be in different spots because you will catch different things each time. For example, having sat way on the far end a couple of times, I noticed two guys climbing a cliff that I had never seen before. There is so much detail! I don't think there is a bad seat in the house because there will always be something new to see.

so we sat in the bottom row. I was the first one in the row and I was glad. When they lift you up I could see some type of worker down below me. When I got scared I could just look down over the side of the ride and look at her and see that I wasn't that high up.
