I've always wondered, can you ride in the BACK of the monorail, instead of the front?

That's an interesting question.

My guess would be no. I don't think there's a transportation host back there, and I don't think they'd allow guests back there unsupervised. Someone could vandalize the control panels, or do something to them accidentally.

You can at Disneyland beacause their monorails only go in one direction so the back does not have an actual control panel. Because WDW's monorail go in both directions the front and back are equiped with the same control panels so they do not allow you to ride in the back (because there would not be a CM in there with you)... But if you head over to California make sure you ask, it's pretty cool.

Nope- The only time you ever get to ride in the back is if you are a CM *and* in training (and with your trainer) or with a member of mgmt which is rare. I've ridden in the back multiple times and its pretty kewl unless they forget to pull up enough and your well stuck back there...

All the circuits and whatnot are active back there so you could really do some damage if you knew what to do-
