We had a wonderful visit! We arrived on Saturday (7/3) at the GCH and were immediately greeted and taken up to the 6th floor to check in…we were able to get a room with 2 queen beds and a day bed.
It didn’t get busy at all our first day and that night we saw world of color. We thought we were far enough away not to get wet, but we were wrong…we got soaked, slowly! But it is an amazing show!
Fourth of July started getting busy around 4pm and the park was crazy busy after 8. Monday was actually the busiest day we were there. We watched Fantasmic on Monday night and I gotta say getting the dessert seating was the best! A special shout out to Joe at the podium who helped us pick out our seats.
We saw World of Color again on Tuesday but this time from further away. I think the show is better from far away, the projections seem clearer. Wednesday was another slow day until the earthquake and then the park was crowded since all the rides were closed…what a mess! The weather was cooler then I thought it would be and I loved it since we left 100 degree temps back home
The hotel was the best! We had a few minor problems and Crystal at the concierge desk took care of everything! My daughter must have eaten 100 chocolate strawberries, they even gave her a container of them when we left.
I miss it already and can’t wait to go back!

Thanks for your thoughts on WOC, and glad you had a great time.....popcorn::

We're going to be there in 4 days! Does the sound of WOC keep someone from sleeping in the GC rooms? Are they still doing 3 shows (one at 11:15) or just two?

I can't answer the first question, but I thought I would chime in that they have been doing the 11:15pm show every night (with the exception of unforeseen cancellations).

Glad you had a great trip - minus the earthquake.

Was curious on the Fantasmic seating how it worked. We are going in just over a week and I am trying to get all prepared. Do you remember what time you went to check in for your seat assignment? I had heard on here that we did that earlier in the evening and then could wander off till closer to the show. However, when I booked this earlier today the CM just told me we would check in at 8pm. That seems awfully late to me and my DD wants to sit up front if possible. :cutie:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They let you choose your seats sstarting at 8, but get to the podium sooner then that because people start lining up at 7pm. It's first come first serve, so if you want up front you might want to get there early. You don't need to have everyone in your party wait, just one with the tickets. You are going to love it! Have fun.
