Hi everybody!
Got back from our holiday on Sunday afternoon, and finally feel awake enough to make a quick post.
All in all had a fantastic time, helped greatly by a lot of advance planning, and taking much advice from all of you on these boards.
Even with the hurricane we swopped a "rest" day (wasn't that restful!) and did all we wanted to do while we were there.
One big advantage we had over our last visit in '02 was that we had a total of 17 days by booking all the elements independently, giving us 14/15 actual days to do stuff - still wasn't enough though!
We were very lucky with the hurricane as we sustained no damage or power outs (we were at Indian Creek) - our management company told us that a lot of other communities were without power for several days, and quite a few guests had suffered damage.
On our last day we found a shop up near Beltz selling "I survived Hurricane Charley" T Shirts, so all nine of us got one and wore them on the journey home!! - could have paid for the holiday by setting up a stall selling them at the airport judging by the number of people asking us where they could get one.
I have kept notes and our itinerary, and will endeavour to post a trip report shortly, but for now it's back to work
Still, theres always the next time.............
