Just returned from a three night "quickie". Started our trip at the Yacht Club Concierge which was a wonderful experience. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. The Yacht club is so beautiful. The concierge staff was extremely friendly and helpful. In my opinion they were much more friendly than the RPC last year. They assisted me in several reservations and we had a nice chat about doing disney the "deluxe" way. I told them that if I could have any job at disney it would be as a concierge staff member.

The lounge and offerings were nice. I think the Yacht club concierge lounge is a little small and boring but it was never too crowded and the food was nice. They had one hot appetizer with a variety of cold choices to include veggies, hummus, dips, breads, fruit, wine, etc. Breakfast was equally as nice.

The Contemporary was a little dissapointing. We stayed via the shades of green so I can't complain about the price but the north garden wing is in desperate need of some renovations. One of the pictures on our wall was fixed with a huge line of black duct tape right across the center of the picture. The service was good and it was nice to be around military people again (husband is retired from USMC).

We're staying at the Yacht Club (not concierge.. just waterview) in January. Any tips? If you were to choose AKL vs. Yacht Club what would you pick and why? Did you walk into Epcot often with it being so close? Did you walk to MGM too?
Also, are there any concierge with a view of the fireworks?
