I just got back from WDW on 5/28. My husband and I got some bad news early on, but were able to salvage the trip for my DD sake. She had a blast and we had a wonderful time enjoying Disney through her eyes. We are already planning another trip for May 2002 but will be extending to 2 weeks.

The weather was hot but manageable. My 20 month DD was a trooper and seemed fine in the 90 degree heat and humidity.

I want to give back to this board so please feel free to ask me any questions, I will be posting a more detailed account of my trip on the trips board.

wdwdreamer ---

we stayed at the timeshare my DH and I purchased. It is called the Palms and is off of 192. It is a very short drive to WDW property. We love it but I wish we would have known about DVC prior to purchasing bc I would have opted for that instead.

We also stayed at the Wyndham Palace our last two days. $20 a nite +$20 amex money. ( Courtesy of priceline.com). We loved this resort. It has a wonderful pool and a great family atmosphere. ( the pool bar is also a terrific amenity!!!)

Next year we plan on staying an extra week on a Disney property. Can't wait

Anyway I would say 3 out the eight days we were there were very difficult (fire wise) it made me sick to keep breathing in the smoke and I can't believe it never affected attendance to the parks.

Luckily, the days we had plan to tour the parks, were days that we did not seem to notice the smoke.

How busy were the parks? My family and I are thinking of going next year at that time.;)

wendyw,

you know as well as I how informative these boards are, I used a number of resources to determine the best days to visit each park. My DH and I lucked out, no big crowds for any day we visted. We only did the parks 3 days out of our entire stay. We had 4 day park hoppers.

Monday -- AK and Epcot
Wednesday -- Magic Kingdom
Thursday -- MGM Studios

We made sure to avoid any park which had EE. This is wonderful advice as we never waited for any attraction more than 10 minutes.

Plan, plan, plan utilize this board and all the wonderful advice you can garner from it.

Good luck,

email any questions to me, I can email you the suggested days from my frommer's guide and reference where I was able to locate information for busiest park days. My DIS email is mandamom3@hotmail.com

Good luck
