Hey peeps. We got back home yesterday, and were a little too tired to post.
So, I thought i'd give you all the top 10 signs that your vacation may not go as planned... (click on the underlined words to see pics)
#10
When you arrive at your hotel, you realize that your ROOM LOCATION is not what you quite expected. (this wasnt our room, but we felt really sorry for the people who DID have to stay there.
#9
Upon arriving to Epcot for your first day in the park, the first thing you get inside that is owned by disney is one of THESE! Yes, we parked our car, and as i reached for my wallet, i realized I left the park tickets in the room. Hey, at least I thought fast enough to not drive back out, we just hopped a bus real quick and were back at the gates in about 45 minutes.
#8
You see THESE GUYS in Mexico mumbling something about viking hats and Chocolate Mousse.
#7
You run into the SAME GUYS a little later on and all they keep repeating is "chocolate mousse, must find the chocolate mousse..."
#6
Mickey Mouse decides to STEAL YOUR HAT!
#5
You see that the brothers have FOUND THE MOUSSE, but sadly, it is not quite what they were looking for.
#4
FINALLY, you see that the brothers have found the holy grail of dessertdom, but sadly there is no more left for anyone else to buy. :~D (i'm still wondering why people were walking by and pointing and laughing, still can't figure that one out)
#3
You see THESE GUYS carrying torches and muttering something about "Kill Da Wabbit!"
#2
You see a Sad, Dejected Pirate sobbing softly at the sign, and mumbling something about a hairy leg.
and the #1 reason your vacation may be a little different than you expected:
THESE TWO ruin your nice peaceful ride on It's A Small World by shooting all the dolls with pirate pistols and saying things like "shut up ya scurvy scum" and "we wants the redhead".
Ok, highlights of the trip. Everest totally rocked. Got to ride it twice. An unsuspected surprise were the chocolate brownies from earl of sandwich in DTD. Hey, try one, they are beyond awesome. Our rooms were in a fantastic spot on the first floor of one of the 80's buildings at POP Cent., we walked right out our door and the computer pool was right in front of us. We got a free upgrade to 2 larger S.U.V.'s (instead of midsize S.U.V.'s) from alamo (thanks alamo for NOT HAVING any of our requested size left rofl). Soarin was amazing, really liked that. The weather was warm, but not a single drop of rain all week. The parks were crowded, but with fastpasses we were fine.
VMK news. Well, not much. They DID NOT HAVE the adventureland quests in vmk central. The cm's said something about them Re-Doing it. We did, however get the adventureland quest cards when we turned in the tomorrowland, frontierland, and fantasyland quests. We did not get any pirate or mansion cards at all. We did get some cards just by asking at the buzz ride, candy shop, and pin store. But we only got gold ear cards when we bought the hats, no freebies there. And the folks in Sir Mickeys were the stingiest, no freebies, and none of us really wanted to buy any shirts there.
You all know about the t-shirts for sale on the website now, the mentioned that when we got to vmk central on day 1. Also, they said a vmk pin for sale on the website may or MAY NOT come later on. I know that doesnt help much. Also I asked about carpet and was told very very soon. And when i said "well, no offense but they have been saying soon for 6 months" i was told, "it will be very soon now". So take that for what it's worth.
Well thats about is for now. I'm sure my sis-in-law PinPrincess will post a bit when she gets a chance.
