back from the magic.... :( with a snowy dlh pic added!

well, we got back at 1am this morning!!
ignoring my ds1s behaviour (lol) the holiday was brilliant!! just read some of the posts where ppl werent happy - and think they musta gone sumwhere else!
i felt it was very magical, the decorations were lovely, the emh def worthwhile, and got to level 4 for the 1st time on buzz .
was a bit disappointed no gmf - they said they werent doing over the christmas period.... but we managed with 7am breakfast and then into the park!!!!
highs...
my ds2 recognising the characters AND wanting to say hi to them (he has speech & language difficulties, and new things stress him)
the easy pass that ds2 was given gave great access, but yet we hardly used it due to short queues most of the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
loads and loads of characters were about
it snowing most of the time we were there (def helped with the magic)
the cm & characters were all brilliant and very friendly/accomodating - always like that!
being able to 'flash' my shareholders card - very very useful card

some ppl that think they have the right to shove others out of the way

tbh - it was all good. and an added bonus i think - we had cafe mickey yesterday (thurs) and booked a cake for the boys. they brought the bill over before i cud show my sharteholders card, so then redid the bill - taking off 25%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sooooooo, i thought, maybe they made a mistake and wud realise when i paid?!?!?! gave over the half board vouchers we had - to which the cm said that i cudnt have both - to which i said u cud as others did it - he checked (and i thought they wud see the 25% and change it) and said it was ok - and we had nothing at all left to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so - the bill went from 148 eur, then down to just over 100 eur, and the cake & half board came off (4 adults & 2 child) and we actually had more vouchers than money needed - how bizarre!! anyone else have 25% taken off at cafe mickey??? certainly made a good birthday celebration - along with mickey, friar tuck, and prince john (who i love each time i see him)

will try and sort a report out - its gonna be long one, and over 500 pics to sort thru - but it was the most fab holiday, the hotel cheyenne was brill - got the exact same room as june which i asked if poss to have and we got - and loads of characters & pictures.................

oh can i just ask, do you think its worth bringing ski type trousers for kids ?

we are def bringing their thermal 2 piece sets for underneath oh and thermal socks! lol
and ski jacket and gloves

but am unsure about the saloppettey things

i have washed them ready anyway just in case!

rach - we found it quite cold, and both boys used their full ski outfits - and a pair of tights underneath (as didnt buy thermals). they pretty much stayed warm, basically layered them with vest, long sleeved top, jumper then jacket.
it was cold on some of the rides (that go up in the air) and places that were a bit more open, but not too bad. i was warm enough in polo jumper, fleece over it and coat, and then tights under jeans and my snow boots. i was always warm lol

also - if u can get them - the hot hand warmers are great - we had them, but didnt need to use them all - but they were worth it when stood for the parade...and of course it gets colder as it gets dark....

really need to get my pics uploaded - fab one of dlh with the snow falling - magical... it was still cold when we left & it was more sleet than rain - so will keep fingers crossed - oh, and they still did the fake snow on main street whilst we had a heavy snow shower!!!!!!!!!

if they moan about being hot - ask them if theyd prefer to be freezing cold???? lol much nicer being warm......

to true nothing worse than being cold,espec cold feet brrrrr!

but ya know kids they will find anything to moan about

got the handwarmers too so have added them to the case!

we arrived on monday and stayed til late yesterday - crowds were less than june - in studios on wednesday, tot was 5 mins queue, and same for the others - crush was 35 mins (still too long lol)
