Hi
Back home from yet another magical time at our second home. We stayed at the Novotel in Collegien overnight Saturday, really nice hotel would definitely stay again and only 20 minutes from the magic. The rest of the trip we stayed for the first time at Magic Circus. Nice hotel but wouldn't say it's four star. I can see the theming is great for younger kids but not worth the extra money for us. Staff are nice and the breakfast was good including hot items. Wifi was great in the room too.
High's:
Being there of course!
Character interaction really good again. My son is a teenager and I was worried he wouldn't still enjoy it but he decided to get 'selfies' with them, they all really played along and he's got some fantastic shots.
Spider-Man - first time we've seen him was a long wait but worth it, he played the part really well and again got some great pics.
DLH descent of the stairs probably the last time we've seen it, really like it but was a scrum. And amazingly we met Max, another character added to our collection.
Swing into Spring - just love the theming, the park is looking so pretty and the shows are great. Still singing 'Spring Fever!'.
Frozen -so pleased to see their float wasn't sure it was going to be there. Bit disappointed in the lack of merchandise though.
Managing to get our Olaf pins, they're great.
Lows:
Rude people - enough said but never ceases to amaze me how in a place like that people can be so nasty.
Characters out in the studios - I like the fact they're organised queues that's definitely an improvement BUT think it still needs reviewing, perhaps photos only to give more people a chance? Now they stand in pairs it takes longer two autographs etc. on one of our days we had six different people using their green pass so meant majority of the queue missed out, poor little girl behind us was distraught especially as we'd been told it's 10 minutes and we would meet them. Don't really have the answer but at least they've reviewed and improved it since our last visit.
Rides breaking down - seemed to happen a lot this break. Hubby and son were on Thunder Mountain and had to be rescued and bought down! (Got a fast pass for the next day though). Myself and my daughter were on Pinocchio when that also broke down and we had to be escorted out. Other rides were down too.
Not really a low but really don't like the ticketing system for the Princess pavilion, queuing twice seems crazy.
That's it really weather was ok really hot on the Sunday then mostly over cast with bit of drizzle rest of the time. Visited Earl of Sandwich for the first time, sandwiches were great I had the meatballs and pasta which was dry though and they were happy to omit things from the sandwiches (think I remember someone asking a while ago?).
Meeting Duffy and friends had an extra time slot not on the programme which is a bit annoying if you don't realise. We just happened to notice one afternoon so asked at City Hall they said no only the morning only to find people queuing again in the afternoon! They were at the boarding house from two if still the same for a few days and anybody going.
We used the car park in the village a couple of times it's now 2.50 Euros for annual pass holders everyday except Sunday (we weren't aware of that).
So a great trip and as we now again have annual passes I'm sure we'll be back soon.
