Hello! We just returned from a 2-day trip to the parks, and I wanted to post a few quick items for those of you who may be headed out during Spring Break season . . .

1. Heading straight to ride Hyperspace Mountain / RSR was the way to go! We arrived at each park about 45 minutes prior to gates opening, waited at rope drop and walked on to Space at DL and RSR at DCA both mornings. We noticed that more people seemed to be heading to get RSR fast passes than going to ride the actual ride first thing. (We were at the parks that did not have EMH/MM, so we were in line at the gates at 7:20 for 8:00 openings.)

2. We watched PTN/fireworks both nights, first night from Main Street (waited on the curb in front of Starbuck's from about 6:20 for the 8:30 parade) and the second night near IASW, jumping into the back of the roped off area about a half hour before the parade started. We liked the view of both from IASW better! The projections were awesome!

3. In addition to riding Space and RSR first thing, we were able to get in all of the rides we wanted (some twice!) prior to noon both days, take breaks in the afternoons (we stayed at HoJo) and be back to enjoy the evenings til midnight. That strategy works great for our family!

To all of you heading out in the next couple of weeks . . . enjoy! The parks are totally do-able even with the higher crowds. Our two days were awesome!

I concur with heading straight for SM & RSR. We've done that in the past with very good results.

That's basically my go to plan for DL/DCA. Head straight to SM/RSR, then hit the other rides. My DH commented on our last trip that we got more done in the first 3 hours of being there then we did the whole rest of the day.

I can't wait to see PTN again! I got a bad view point the last time, but my DH was able to get up on a bench and put my DD on his shoulders and she had a fantastic view. (We were by the IASW giftshop - no one behind us. :) ) I was thinking about staking out a spot on the benches by the Alice in Wonderland bathrooms. I'll probably have to sit there for hours though, lol.

We're here now and totally agree with this! Yesterday afternoon was a zoo, but with arriving at rope drop and fully utilizing fast passes (I think we held at least six yesterday), we got in 13 rides (2 of those twice) over the course of our day with our max time in line being around 25 minutes. We also shopped a LOT, pin traded, met five characters and did the egg hunt!! All of the tips I learned here, really helped out! We'll have to try your RSR tip when we go to DCA later in the week (today is our non-Disney tour day)!
