Back From Recent Trip, Thoughts on FP+ and More

Luckily, we've never been parade people, so we don't have to deal with the kind of people mentioned by the OP. We do the fireworks, but do the Dessert Party, which also helps to avoid these people. We had incidences like this multiple times our first trip in 2004 and have made sure to never take part in large group activities again. There are just some people who either don't care about how they affect other people's enjoyment of their vacation, or even some who seem to enjoy causing problems. Hopefully you don't have these experiences again. Other than that, it sounds like it was a great trip.

Aside from the few experiences, it was a great trip! I am definitely going to do the dessert party next trip, I don't want a repeat of what happened next time. I'll also probably steer clear of the first MSEP of the night and attend the second (if there are two).

I'll probably do the dining package again for Fantasmic!, but unless Disney does something to resolve the mass horde of people on both the FP+ and standby sides of the entrance, I'm going to avoid entering the amphitheater until it's all clear.

I hear so much about this school bread what does it taste like a donut? Or bread? Is it cream or custard filled?
I am not a fan. It's dry-ish bread with a very small dab of custard in the center and coconut on top.

OP, sorry for the bad experiences. We no longer do the fireworks or parades...the thought of dealing with all the crowds (and possibly rude folks) just gives me the hives to even think about. We do like to see Wishes while riding BTM...and we walk out of Epcot during Illuminations (try to get out before the mass exodus). Glad you still had a nice trip.

LOL kind of what MichiganDVC said :thumbsup2 It's not really a donut but it's not bread......a pastry? But somewhat different from a French or Italian pastry. It has coconut on top (toasted, I believe) and a cream similar to, but NOT, Bavarian cream inside. It isn't a ton of cream and the pastry itself isn't extremely moist, but I think it has just the right amount of sweetness even when you don't get any cream in a bite. The outside isn't hard but it isn't as soft as a donut, either.

That's the best I can do! Put it on your must-try list for your next trip:goodvibes

Def gonna give it a try this time

I laughed when I read your experience with 7DMT….

I was there two weeks ago, and was fortunate to have a 9:15 a.m. FP+ for the ride. There was already a 70+ minute wait in StandBy for the ride…

After I got off, I was shrugging, thinking, "Is that all there is???!!" I wanted to run down the Standby line and warn everyone, "Go AWAY!!!!! It's not worth the wait - trust me!!!!" :rotfl2:
