Back from POP~ Review!!!

We stayed at POP last October. Overall we really enjoyed it. The only real CON for us was the noise. While we weren't in the room much when we were there (in the middle of the night TRYING to sleep:) ) it was very loud. Granted we were in a room right by the elevator. We heard the ding all night and people coming and going outside our room. I think if we hadn't been near the elevator it would have been much more quiet. Everything else was great. There were many times the food court wasn't crowded at all and the kids enjoyed the pool! Just my input. :rolleyes1

I also had a great time at the Pop. Was there in late Feb/early March 2007.

Theming: Very cute. Stayed in the 70s section, loved the big MM phone. ALso loved the other huge statues of Jungle Book and Lady and the Tramp.

Room: More than satisfied my needs. Spacious for one and very good for two. Would think it would be crowded with one or two kids if they were not about 5 years or younger.

Food Court: Extremely crowded. Used just for frozen Icee drinks (awesome) and to pop my own pop corn. Had b-fast one am and it was just okay, like McDonald's pancakes.

Location: I went to some Atlanta Braves games and it's right near where they play, so that was awesome. I also rented a car and drove to all the parks and DTD. So that was a snap.

Would completely recommend to anyone, great value. Fun place to stay.:thumbsup2

We've stayed at POP twice and have enjoyed it very much.

We have never found noise to be much of an issue, not more than any other hotel. The toilets were the same at the Poly when we stayed there and they are loud but they flush fast.

Food court was great and we have never found it very crowded. Nor have we had trouble finding people to speak English.

Bus service at POP is much better than other two resorts we stayed at (ASmo and the Poly).

Our last visit was in August.

Thanks for the great review. We keep hearing great things about POP we may just have to seriously look into booking our 2008 trip at Pop.

The info about ASMu has been wonderful. We had planned on camping at Ft.Wilderness and already had the trip payed for when the truck that pulls the camper died!!::sad1: Soo Papaw stepped up to the plate and uprgraded the family to the ASMu family suite. I say upgrade because it cost us a good deal more. Not really sure how I felt about it in the begining because I love the campground!!! Then again it is the only place we have stayed on the grounds. Now I am very excited that we are staying in a much bigger space. I am a little worried about the transportation. IT was nice using the boat so I didn't have to fold up the stroller. There are 6 Disney Maniacs, well 5 really we are working on the 20month old. She loves Mickey Mouse... She calls him Otootles (Mickey Mouse Club House)for those of you who do not have toddlers and the Disney Channel:) :) DH,DS13,DS11,DD8 and DD20mths and me!!! I am the one who almost loves the planning more than the trip!!:rotfl2: Can't wait for October!!

Leaving this Friday for POP! DD has no idea we are going. I think she is going to love POP with all the big icons, etc. We stayed at POR in May which is not really Disney themed for a kid..........

I hope the frozen coke machine is working when we are there!

We are also moving into POP this Friday for 9 nights and DDP can't wait. Though our little ones will be left behind this year cause they are now older and both off at college, ME and DW will sneek of to WDW for the second year in a row for the free DDP. We are requesting the 60's bldg since most of our teen year were during that time, so we will see if the fax request works.:hippie: :cool1:

That reminds me I need to fax my request too! I called the main reservation line, but he didn't seem to enthused to put down my requests.

Are you going to the GLOW party on the 22nd at POP?
