DH and I returned this week from a 5 night stay LVC at the Poly to celebrate our wedding anniversary - first time without kids. Our room was ready for us when we arrived at noon, and we were whisked away to Hawaii. We stayed on the 3rd floor (which we had requested), and our room had a great view and was very clean. Mousekeeping did a thorough job each day, and she was friendly and accommodating. Concierge CMs helped me order a surprise anniversary gift basket for DH, arranged for PS at 'Ohana, printed our boarding passes for our return trip, and made us feel welcome and at home. We enjoyed the snacks offered in the lounge, and Chef Dick made DH a special dessert every night as he is diabetic. The weather was horrible - rain, rain, and more rain - but we managed to go to MK and Epcot, and DH sqeezed in a round of golf. The rest of the time we read books, sat on our balcony and enjoyed the scenery, ate, and shopped. Oh - and we slept in every morning. It was the most restful vacation we've had.

My only complaint would be the room sensors for the AC, and I just read a thread that explained how to bypass those. :)

Welcome home and thanks for the report.

Welcome back, glad you had a restful trip. Thanks for sharing your trip with us

Can't wait to go in August. Glad you had a great trip.

Can you recall what kind of snacks were available in the lounge? Like chips/cookies/treats. Did they have DIet COke??? :teeth:

Thanks!!!

They had regular coke when I was there in March and I think they had diet too.

We loved our stay in 3508, LVC, what a view!

Thanks for the report, glad you had a great trip! Too bad you just found out about the A/C over-ride trick :guilty:

MN Mom - During the day they had apples, bananas, oranges, goldfish crackers, mixed nuts, and Runts candies available. They also had cookies. Drinks were Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, tea, lemonade, and orange guava juice. :)

I didn't see the other thread on the a-c override trick. Can you fill me in? We're staying at Poly LVC in October. Thanks!!

Yeah, I'd like to know too!

So glad you had a nice trip!! IMHO, LV concierge at the Poly is hard to beat...we loved our stay last year!! Happy Anniversary :)

eeyoresmountainpals & trappednabox - This a/c bypass info was written by Skiwee1 - "On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly there will be the letters "bp" where the temp numbers usually are. That means you are now bypassing the sensors."

THanks sooooo much!! I am so glad to know that they have DIet Coke. Now I won't have to load up my suitcase with soda!!
