Sorry for the delay but with the holidays it's been crazy. We had a wonderful time. We loved both resorts that we can't pick a favorite. Here are some of the highlights ! The Boardwalk was magical with all the Christmas decorations. We got a nice room, standard view which faced a courtyard. Loved the restaurants, didn't try only Big Fish. It was too cold for swimming. Loved the boat transportation to MGM & Epcot. Had wonderful service all around. Valet parked through the stay which made switching hotels a breeze. Check-in at both hotels was easy. On to the Poly where we had a magical surprise ! Since we were celebrating our son's 1rst b-day & the travel agent had listed it on the reservation we got a complimentary birthday cake, balloons & hats. The room & balcony we're huge for a standard view. Had dinner at O'hanas & Kona Cafe. Also did the character breakfast. Everything was delicious. Loved the fireworks & water parade from the beach, not to mention the monorail. We had a wonderful, magical vacation. Sad to be back but can't wait to plan the next vacation. :wave2:

Welcome home! Glad you a had a great trip. So, which resort area did you like better? :)

To be honest, because of the baby I think Poly was both my DH & my favorite. It was greating taking a stroll around the tiki lit paths at night. The ease of the monorail when we could just whel him on anytime ! Walking by the beach & we had a great view of the Contemporary & the GF also. & especially seeing the water parade & fireworks was absolutely magical. Also it was more laid back. Great service everywhere we went. We liked that we just strolled over to the Ceremonial House & had several stores, restaurants etc for our convenience. Also the balcony was huge ! A definite deluxe resort experience. & they didn't charge us for our refigerator. When I asked for it, expecting to pay the CM asked why we needed one & I said for the baby's bottles & he said I'll just put it for medical reasons ! Another plus in our book !

Glad to hear you had such a nice vacation.

The Polynesian is so convenient isn't it? I don't think any other resort combines the convenience and magic as well.

It's great to hear you had such a wonderful stay at both resorts! I will be at the Poly this Feb. and I am so excited! Which longhouse/room # were you in? You say that you ate at Ohana's and liked it-what were some of the food offerings and how was your overall experience? We are considering eating there for dinner one night during our trip... thanks!

I know we stayed in the Tokelau bild. I forgot the room #. But directly across we had another longhouse. It was on the 2nd floor & if I leaned out to the right I could see the beach. It was very nice for a standard view. We loved O'hanas. We went to the dinner & breakfast buffet. They seat you & they bring the plates to you. For the dinner the offerings were shrimp, turkey, steak & pork on a skewer. But before they put this huge plate full of rice, vegetables & the best wings ever. After for desert they give you pineapple chunks with some sauce. The best & very plentiful. For breakfast you get the standard fair of eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee etc. But the best part is the characters come around. Oh, by chance we happened to eat dinner that night & as we were sitting down we got to see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. It was so beautiful. You will love it !

Glad you had a good time! We also just returned from the Poly (on monday) and we too were in Tokelau. Thanks for sharing!
