We just came back from 4 days at IOA/US and PBH. We had a wonderful time at the parks and the service at the hotel was great. We had a Club level room, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We had breakfast at the club lounge every morning. It was more than worth the price for the club level room. The last day of our stay, we had breakfast at Trattoria Del Porto, only because we had free breakfast vouchers from the concierge. I would rather have had Continental breakfast at the Club lounge. The buffet at Trattoria was not worth the price they charge ($97) for two adults and two children. So, paying the extra money for Club level was worth every penny for us. And the drinks and snack on the rest of the day were excellent an excellent perk.

Service was what you expect at a 4 star hotel. Rooms were big, bathroom was huge. And the staff was excellent. I will never stay at an offsite hotel for US/IOA again. FOTL was the best thing in the world. I felt bad for the people waiting in 98 degrees for their turn, while we just kept going over and over again. I know that I will never go to Disney during peak times again, because I would not have the patience to wait in line…. At one point in our trip, we had a 15 minute wait, and we were getting impatient. Then we remembered the people who had already been waiting for an hour and a half…. So you just have to be thankful that you were staying on site.
The best part were the water rides at IOA… the fact that we could just go over and over again in the heat of the day was awesome… So, now it is back to normal life, unpacking and waiting for our next trip to Universal….

Sounds good. I'll be there Mon and Tues. Did you get a good view? Did the concierge give you certificates for breakfast? Was there alot of people? Club lounge full?
FOTL is Great!

We had a view of the Villa Pool. Our room was also just off the Beach Pool elevator, so we had very easy access to both pools. It was a long way from the Lobby elevator, so that was not good... But that hotel is so huge that you can't be close to everything at the same time....

The lounge was not full at all, it had enough room for everyone that was there during the times we were there. It was nice. The staff in the lounge ok, except from one gentleman who did not know what he was doing... At one point I had left our baby bag there, and I went back to get it. So when I asked him if he had seen a baby bag in the lounge he replies that they do not supply guests with diaper bags... So after repeating myself and explaining that I had left our bag there, another gentleman helped me and gave me back the bag that they had found.... This same guy also insisted on carding my husband in the afternoon when he tried to get a bear... My husband had to go back to our room to get his ID in order to get a drink and relax... Now, my husband is 31, with three kids, and does not look younger than 21...

We got the breakfast certificates because of a mix up in the reservations that was their mistake... First they had 5 different rooms reserved in my name. And also they had the wrong credit card number on our reservation and although we presented them with our credit card at check in, they never changed it in the system, so the first night we could not charge our dinner to the room... So we complained and they gave us the certificates to make up for our trouble...

Service was excellent after that mishap.....

I'll have to ask the guy for a diaper bag! And fill it with beer!
Sounds like you had a good time. I want to shoot some pool with my son.

Great report. Thanks for sharing. We love the PBH. Can't wait to go back! Any day now....

Thanks FloridaMom! We have have a club room reserved for next month and after reading some negative posts recently, I was beginning to think I would switch to a bay room and order room service for breakfast. I will stick with our club room after reading your trip report.........sounds great. Can't wait:teeth:

I have just made my reservations for the end of August again, this time we are going to try the Royal Pacific Resort, for three nights. We are staying at the Club level again, since it was a good value for us.... Can't wait to go again... Have to make the most of our annual passes...

Thanks for the info! Do you remember your room number and was it 2q or 1 king? We're leaving in 6 days for club!! So glad you enjoyed club level . I was getting a little nervous with some of the last reports.

We had room 2672; it was right next to the Beach Pool elevator. It was far from the Lobby elevator and the Club lounge... We had a view of the Villa pool. The room had 2 queen beds.
Hope you enjoy your time there!

Thank you! I hear that is the club room with the nicest view. Hope we get lucky too!

Sounds like u had a good time and agree $97 no breakfast can ever be worth that much:crazy:

I'm glad that you had an awesome time at PBH. I can't wait till I stay there. Where in South Florida do you live? I'm in Weston.:sunny:

It was a very nice view indeed... We are going back to US/IOA at the end of August, my husband wants to try the Roayl Pacific this time, I know it is not the same at PBH, but we watnt o try all three resorts.
So I already made my reservations for RPR.

WDWmaniac, I am in Coral Springs. Have you lived in Weston long? I really like it there, but it is too far south from where we are and we really like the school that my daughter has attended for awhile here.
