Back from our trip,we stayed at our home resort SSR for the 1st time!

We just came back from 8 nights at SSR.We had a view of downtown and stayed in a dedicated 2br.We stayed at okw last year and while I really enjoyed it,I would have to say we preferred SSR.The ease of walking the path downtown was priceless.It took less than 5 minutes and it was just beautiful along the water! We also preferred having the view we did.We could hear the music at night from our balcony and we enjoyed sitting there at night listening to it while enjoying a cocktail The bus service was great,the longest we waited was 10 minutes with the exception of coming back from MK.We left an hour before the fireworks and we waited 35 minutes at the bus stop.There were MANY busses dropping people off then going and parking(there were a TON of busses lined up all over)but none came for pickups.But that was the one exception so overall very happy.Mousekeeping was great.When we checked in the rooms were very clean.The balcony however had something sticky on the table and rail.We tried to clean it ourselves but it wasn't helping.There was a pine tree nearby and I think it was sap from the tree.I called mousekeeping and they were there in only 10 minutes.She was able to clean the stickiness off the rail but not the table so she brought us another one.The weather was great,parks more crowded than our last 2 may trips but we go at rope drop so we left when the wait times were up to 90 minutes can't wait to go back,already in disney withdrawals!!!

Glad to hear you had a great trip home. We just bought into SSR and can't wait to try it. Have a THV booked for next March. Good to hear the favorable review of the resort!

We were there last week, too!
You had a great location. If I can't get into the Grandstand, Congress Park with a DTD view is always my 2nd choice. Did you take time to sit in the rockers and watch the boats go by?

The first time we stayed at SSR we also stayed in Congress Park. I love the walk to DTD. The other two times we stayed at Grand Stand and enjoyed those two stays too. I love SSR.

This has happened to us at EPCOT right before fireworks. They stack the busses up in anticipation of the hordes of guests leaving after the show is over, with little regard for the guests waiting at the stop to get their tired kids back to the resort. Not cool!

It sounds like you had a nearly perfect trip. SSR is my personal favorite and even though I thoroughly enjoyed my recent trip to AKV Jambo, I longed for my "home". Everything you mentioned, I love as well. I'm raising my cocktail to many, many more trips "home".
