Hi, we got back last night and I'd thought I would share my thoughts about our trip. We have been to WDW twice since our last trip to DLRP and we love DLRP more than we did before, we can really appreciate what a lovely park it is. My DD loved adventure Isle and there is nothing close to this at Magic kingdom, the themeing is wonderful all around the park and 100x times better than Magic Kingdom we thought. The CM were brilliant and seems to be really enjoying them self. The interacted with guests brilliantly and were as good as WDW cast members.

The things that let it down slightly for us is that Walts doesn't seem to be serving the same level of food as it did 2 years ago, the menu seemed a bit basic.

Cafe Mickey seems to have crammed more tables in and my DD missed seeing lots of the characters as they didn't make it around all the tables. So we had to do it again for lunch as she was disappointed.

I can't wait to go to WDW now as me and DD had a fantastic time together.

Sounds like you really enjoyed yourselves, hope you are going to do a trip report :thumbsup2

What did you think of the Cheyenne? We are off there in a couple of weeks :goodvibes

Glad you had a good time cant wait to read your trip report

I agree wit you about walts take to anything on the menu

Glad you had a lovely trip. I have never eaten in Walt's as there is much that I would eat from there. I would like to try CM though.

I do think you appreciate the theming more in DLP as the Magic Kingdom does lack it slightly in WDW :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a great time :)

When I went with my sister in 2007 we felt the character interaction at CM was a bit hit or miss.. It was her birthday so all the characters came to our table but there were quite a few tables that only got a fleeting visit from one character, didn't seem very fair :sad2: Bit of a shame as me and my bf had a great experience there in 2006. I agree that Disneyland Park is better than MK, it's very similar to my absolute favourite Disney park: Disneyland :goodvibes

I am thinking of going to DL California next year and giving WDW a miss, and invite my sister too.

Welcome back, kindred spirit! :goodvibes

There are three places at DLRP where I always stop and really soak it in. The first is when I enter Main Street and get my first glimpse of the beautiful Castle. :cloud9: The second is when I come parallel with The Lucky Nugget and can see Big Thunder Mountain in front of me and Phantom Manor to my left, I absolutely adore DLRP's Frontierland. :cloud9: The third is when I get to Adventureland and can see Captain Hook's ship, Skull Rock and the Pirates of the Caribbean fort in the distance. :cloud9:

Glad you had a lovely time. You're not the first one to say the menu at Walt's has deteriorated. Let's hope it's a temporary glitch.

I think this year will be our last visit to WDW for a while too. DH is very keen to go to California too so we'll be saving for that when we return from WDW although I am hoping for a return to DLRP inbetween. :)

We thought it was fine and would stay again if we were doing a budget trip. The room was clean and the CM were friendly which is the most important thing. We did miss the DLH though.

Thanks :flower3: My ambition is to stay at the DLH, but unless I win the lottery I will just have to keep dreaming....
