hi all
well, firstly, i want to say thank you to the whole of this board. i spent so much time before our trip reading (and posting quest) and i obviously absorbed alot of the tips, as our holiday was fab!!
will do a trip report later, once i have sorted myself and uploaded the pics (all 300 of them!)

we all had a fab time, the kids loved the rides (def make use of the magic hours if u have small kids) and we got lots of autographs and pics!! the hotel cheyanne was lovely - very impressed, and got rooms exactly where we asked for!!! they do still do the good morning fantasyland breakfasts, but we only managed to get one for our stay - but that was worth it!! the weather was very hot, and the park seemed busy, but wait times didnt seem too bad (crush was 45 mins mid afternoon when we went to studios).

food was good - the only negative was the half board vouchers really!!! they arent as good as they seem!!! they have changed it so that u can only have dinner in plaza gardens, which, when the park is only open til 7pm, means that u can only eat between 4pm & 6pm!!!! we managed to get our meal tho, after they tried to send us over to agrabah cafe!!!! we also ate at annettes (mmmmmmmmmmm VERY nice!) and used our voucher at cafe mickey!!

in fact, it was so good (even with our 4 yr old stropping quite a bit :rotfl2: ) that on our last night - when we both cudnt sleep - we discussed coming back next year!!! wooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo so my next mission is looking into another booking - just not sure if i can hold out 1 yr! ;)

anyhow - we are back, i am completely disneyfied, and even dh is, and i now keep crying when i listen to my ringtone - just like we dreamed it - i want to be back in disneyland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(in love with disney)

Welcome back!!! Glad you had a good time!

Did you have Mickey shaped cookie???

Glad you had a great time! Not quite sure what you mean about the HB vouchers though, could you go into more detail - what about dinner at the restaurants in the village or the hotel? Also if you use them just at Euro face value to have the money taken off your bill wherever you eat, at the moment you are still saving money since you've paid for them in pounds not euros.
No hurry to answer this question BTW, I know what it's like to start on the Great Washing Mountain when you come back from holiday!

the vouchers - yes, u cud use them for money off, but at plaza gardens (which is one of the half board options on the vouchers) u cud only use the voucher for the dinner sitting - closer inspection of voucher did show DINNER ONLY. they did not say that we cud use the value of the voucher to get money off the meal at any other time, which i wud have thought u cud - they kind of implied that the vouchers would only be accepted at the dinner sitting only, and no other time. luckily - we pleaded ignorance (and we had made a reservation) and got our meal at 2pm on the vouchers with nothing extra to pay. think they need to sort that out really!! and the great washin mountain isnt that big - 2 loads, one light and one dark (just finished in the machine :) ) guess *** it was so hot, it was just tshirt & shorts!!!

and no, didnt get a mickey cookie, or a mickey brioche..... but did have a mickey pizza! weather was just so hot, we just wanted drinks, we managed on breakfast, and then our meal (usually about 2/3pm) and then had a snack in the evening..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm caseys hotdogs!!

currently checking out disney prices, but of course they dont go up til june 09, and the prices they have are for children under 12 going free, so not giving a true idea of cost!!! but, have told dh how cheap it wud be for bonfire night trip, and also for trip at my birthday....... will keep working on it ;)

Can;t wait for your TR!! It's really exciting to see recent ones as my trip is getting so close now!!

washing is nearly done, but had a shock in bank account when i thought all my money had been cleared out of my account, but then discovered i was checking another card..... only to find that, instead of takin my nationwide card (with the holiday money in) id taken my barclay card - whcih is completely empty - so have just had mad rush to bank to pay in money before i get major overdrawn fees *** id used my card quite a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!! felt quite  but am now feelin better - as have persuaded dh that a holiday in november is a good plan - so guess whos gonna be bookin another dlrp trip :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: ME! ds1 is gonna use it as his bday trip, as will only be 2 wks after, so have promised him a bday cake in cafe mickey!!!

so - number crunching is gonna be happening first, and after will sort out trip report - and sort out my spelling/typin as i knowim makin mistakes - and i dont care!! im so excited that were gonna go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back, look forward to seeing your pics :goodvibes

It never ceases to amaze me, how many people go for the first trip, come home and have booked a second one within 6 months, or is it just us lot that do that. ;)

lmao jill
i think its the magic that gets to u there, and when u leave, u just dont want to leave, so u have to rebook!!
i had a feelin i wud want to go back before id even got there (been waiting for 9 yrs since previous trip which was just me and dh - this was first trip with the boys) but i was so surprised that dh wanted to go back, and that once dates/prices were shown to him that he didnt even need much persuading!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND whats even better, hes still talking as is we might be going in june next year still, which is what we had previously said, so it cud even be 2 trips!!!!!!!!!1:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I think it's the DIS's fault as much as anything. I've not eve gone to DLRP but florida is already in the pipeline!! Shame the Florida boards are so difficult to comprehend!
