Back from MNSSHP

Yes, and that wasn't 2008, was it? They were free at 2007's MNSSHP parties too. New year, new cutbacks. I'm sure we'll be reading confirmation of it soon.

I would appreciate a confirmation on this too. I asked when ordering my tickets and was told that it is a decision that is made at the park level and the only way to know was to ask at the party Talk about useless info!

So anyone that can confirm whether or not the strollers are free this year, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the post. I am going to MNSSHP for the first time on Halloween. I know it is sold out and I have my ticket. I am only hoping it doesn't rain and its not too crowded. What do the T-shirts look like? And will there be any left by 10/31/08?

I was wishy washy about spending more money for this but I bit the bullet and did it (well really I got a bonus at work so I said what the heck) I just ordered my tickets Friday for 10/7...I am sooooooo excited. We arrive the 4th and don't have park hoppers we do all the other parks the first 3 days so this will be our first day at MK and I truly think it will be magical !!!

There are 4 of us and none have ever been to WDW...it will be a great first trip!!!!!

Saw lots of cute costumes but there were also many people there that were not in costume. I saw MNSSHP shirts in the gift shops and nice treat bags and other Halloween themed merchandise to buy. My aunt bought a purple girls top with the pumpkin mickey on it in sequins with "so cute it's scary" on it - a gift for my DD I'm typing this in the dark as my aunt is already asleep or I'd try to find the map and post the times and events from it!

What do the special MNSSHP T shirts look like??? I hope their nice I thought the P&P party T shirts were lame. Any pictures??

Last year they had orange shirts that had three mickey heads across the front. One was black w/ bat wings, one was white and looked like those ghost mickey things they have up, and one was orange that looked like a pumpkin. then on one of the sleeves it had 2008 in black. They mickeys and the text are fuzzy and somewhat sparkly. They were really cool. I bought one, so this years should be just as cool

I would love to know the answer to the free stroller rental too. We did the MNSSHP back in 2004 and I know they were free then. It would really stink if it was a cutback for this year. So I'll just wait to see what someone reports who has rented one during MNSSHP this year.

I've loved the designs of the MNSSHP shirts for the previous 2 years(actually wearing my 2006 one right now) & I also am very interested in seeing the design of the new shirts so if anyone can post a pic it would be very appreciated. TIA!

A friend and I went on Sept 5th and had fun. This was my 3rd party and her 2nd. The candy was the same size, type (hard candy, chocolate, lollipops, etc.) When you exit the park, we were given Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares w/carmel. The bag was the same size as yesterday. If you needed another bag, just ask.

I love the music and bought the CD last year. I did see the shirt but did not pay too much attention to describe it (sorry). I did purchase 3 of the party pins (annual pass, logo, and the pin for this week w/Donald on it.)

Yes, they were but unfortunately, they made them no longer free at the last PPP parties so folks are assuming that they are no longer free at the MNSSHP and MVMCP but no one with a child has come on and confirmed that yet.

PPP went down to one parade a night and MNSSHP is still two a night so who knows about the free strollers till we hear from someone who tried to get one at one of the parties this year.

We were there 9/5 as well, and my son got his face painted. For girls, they had tinkerbell, a Cinderella type decoration, and a few other princess/fary type designs. They also had a pirate, goofey, and a few other more boyish designs, sorry that's all I can remember. There's about 10 designs to choose from.

I would like to know if the strollers are free this year also. To the families who have already been this year, did you try to get a stroller and was it free or did you have to pay for it? We will have one double from a swap, but would like to have another one for the big kids so that maybe we can stay out later.
Please confirm if the stroller is free for the MNSSHP 2008.

The last time we went was a few years back and then the CMs were encouraging the adults to Trick or Treat too.

I was helping my youngest DS through the trick or treat line, and one of the CM's asked "Where's your bag, mom?" I told her it was hanging on the back of our stroller that my husband was pushing, and she grabbed a handful of candy and threw it my bag as DH walked by
