This was our first experience with a Grand Villa, and we were not disappointed. We had a wonderful week. The side window of the master bedroom had a great view for Illuminations. I am an early riser, and I always enjoy strolling down to the Boardwalk Bakery and getting some fresh air around the time that it opens.

Magical Express from the airport to resort is slow. The return service was efficient, and the on-site airline tickenting was a great convenience

The Candlelight Processional is a must see. Eartha Kitt was our narrator, and her voice was perfect for the role. We purchased the package, and we would have had no chance to get in without it. The ticketed line went past Morocco 30 minutes prior to showtime. That was when we got in line, and it was 80% full when we got to our seats.

Soarin' is amazingly realistic.

Our dinners were at Flying Fish, Brown Derby, Coral Reef, Spoodles, California Grill, Teppanyaki, and Alfredo di Roma. Six of the meals were great, but we were disappointed in Coral Reef. Coral Reef broke up our party of eight into 2 tables, and we had to wait 30 minutes even with a PS. Coral Reef does not have tables of eight, but we thought someone should have mentioned this at the time of the PS or at the time we checked in at the restaurant. We will return to all of the other restaurants for future vacations.

I do have a negative note regarding maintenance, and we as Boardwalk owners share in this blame. The room required several repairs. One of the bedroooms had a door handle that would not work from the outside. A curtain rod support was broken, and the rod fell. Fortunately, no one was injured. The latch plate to one of the balcony doors was missing a screw and was dangling. I reported each of these items to maintenance, and they responded within 30 minutes on each occasion.

In summary, the Boardwalk is still our favorite place to vacation, but please report any problems with the rooms to maintenance. That is what they are paid to do, and the problems will be corrected for both you and future guests.

Hi!

We'll be there next week, and I won't hesitate to call maitenance if something is missing, broken, etc... I'm glad that you mentioned that.
I can't wait to wake up and stroll down to Jelly Rolls!! Yumm-Yumm! I'm a little aprehensive about the crowds, but I really look forward to being there for Christmas and New Years. It will be a great time!
I'm calling MS right now to see if I can add ADR for some of the restaurants that you mentioned.

Thanks!

Thanks for the report. We had a BWV GV last year at this time but it was one of the two story GVs on the 5th floor, I believe 5045. I love the BWV and we go back in 5 days but the most disappointed I have been in their maintenance was with this GV. We still had a great time and the issues were minor but still a little disappointing.

That's pretty much our summary. We had never gotten our entire immediate family together and really wanted to impress everyone with the accommodations. The inconveniences of these repairs were minor, but you know what they say about first impressions.
