back from BCV

Hi, we have recently returned from BCV. We had a 2 br dedicated for 6 nights. We had reqested EPCOT/Illuminations view. When we arrived we were assigned room 553, this was an AWSOME view! We could see Spaceship Earth, The Land, Journey into Imagination, and Canada. Our view of Illuminations could have only been better if we had been in EPCOT! I could also hear music from EPCOT during different times of the day. We were not bothered by noise from the road we could clearly see.

Now I will touch on some of the highlights of our trip! We arrived on Sat afternoon and while my husband went grocery shopping, I went over to the Magic Kingdom to see Spectomagic. This was wonderful, and I told my husband I wanted to make it a new tradition! (shopping with out me!)
We went to the Animal Kingdom on Sunday and before opening there was a talking palm tree wandering around. This tree was hilarious! I am not sure how they pull this off, but try to get to AK prior to opening and catch it!
On Monday we went to the MK and had a very magical day! It was VERY slow, walk on for many things! We ate lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table and Cinderella was in the lobby shortly after we got our meal and our waiter wispered this in to my ear! So, I went down stairs and had a pic taken with Cinderella, while sitting with her I mentioned that a pic of her from the day parde was my wallpaper on my computer and she was my FAVORITE! There was no one else waiting to see her (can you believe that!!) so, she took a guide map, circled a spot on the parade route and told me she would look for me during the parade (by the way, I am in my mid 30's!). So, we got a spot for the parade, and sure enough, she looked for and remebered me!!
She blew me several kisses and pointed at me to have Prince Charming wave and send a kiss! My husband said I was actually jumping up and down during this!!



So, I was drifting on clouds for the rest of the day! It is nice to see the magic still happens

We went to Cape May for the character breakfast on tues, the food was great here. Then a day at the pool. I love the pool at BC!!! While we were at the pool that day they were filming a comercial for the BCV. I am not sure where or when it will be broadcast, but it looked pretty funny. They had a guy dressed up like a tourist with ferry wings on his back. This only caused a small section of the pool to be closed, and was fun to watch!

We went to MGM and EPCOT for our last 2 days, had a good time, but nothing spectacular happened!

That is too funny! We're just back from a 6 day (9/22-9/28) trip in a 2 br lockoff at BCV and stayed in rooms 557 and 559. Glad you had a great trip!

Heather, I just read your trip report., I only wish we had also gotten the same person to check us in! We did not recieve a welcome home. We were actually there a week before you, I have just been so busy I had not posted yet! But, I figured better late than never!

Great trip report! Sounds like you had a truly magical time.

It appears like this is a great room for fireworks view, we are going home for the 1st time in June.

I had just posted to HeatherPage for info. concerning fireworks view and sounds like both of these are great requests!

Dawn~ I so enjoyed your report. I sat here and cried while I read about your meeting Cinderella, as I do at the parade too. I, too, am in my mid thirties and still love the "Magic" that happens throughout Disney. We will be there in 53 days and cannot wait. We are also staying at BCV. Our home resort is BWV. Thanks for your great report...you made me wish we were there. We are in the process of getting our rental information from a DVC owner for our family's first trip to the BCVs. We requested either 5th or 3rd floor EPCOT view, but we will be in a studio. Do you have any idea if there were any studios next to the great room you had? I can't seem to locate a listing of which rooms are studios, 1 BR, or 2 BR. I realize you probably won't get an actual room request, but I thought if I gave them a few good ones, maybe something would work out! Again, thanks for getting me in a great mood thinking ahead to April!

They were probably updating the DVC video that still needs to include BCV information. Last time I saw it and the DVC channel, BCV wasn't on it.

Neat story about the parade. Glad you had a great trip.

KandK'smom, 555 is a studio, right next door to SCDizneyDawn's room! We had it earlier in september & it was great. It's close to the single elevator, which goes down to the quiet pool & the self parking (which we did because it was a shorter walk than to the valet area!!)

I don't have any digital pictures of the view, but straight ahead was the back side of Canada, and a little to the left was spaceship earth. The view of the illuminations fireworks was really nice. There is definitly traffic noise on this side of the building, but it didn't bother us.
