Back from BCV-no hot showers!

The chlorine bleach in the dishwasher detergent will take care of the anything that the hot water does not. :)

Don't dishwashers also have a heater thats really hot to dry the dishes?

Not saying anyone doesn't know how to use the dials on the shower but some of them look like they are on the hottest setting when they need to be turned still much further, like someone else said, all the way till it is tight. I have made this mistake more than once.

Hotels all over are limiting the hotwater temp due to the risk of scalding children. Yes, people will scald thier child in a hot tub and sue the hotel. That is our society today!

I fail to understand why putting washclothes on top of towels is rude however!

108 degrees, doesn't exactly give me that "home away from home" feeling....It makes me dream about my own bathroom in IL. I hope complaints are made and the water temp is increased before our January BCV stay. Poor water pressure/water temp is a problem at VWL. You freeze in that large stall because there is not enough steam generated during a shower.

Pretty soon you'll be reading about Norwalk viral outbreaks at WDW attributed to the inability of guests to wash properly while vacationing.;)

We were the first to stay in our room at the BCV during the first two weeks that it opened last summer. As with any new construction, there were things that needed attention, so we called with each item we noticed. (By the way, maintenance promptly showed up each time to fix what ever we called them about). One of the items we called about was the hot water. During the mornings, we thought the hot water heater was not working. We were told by the Disney repair man that the hot water is piped from a large water heater at Epcot and that the first hot water users in the morning would have to let the water run for several minutes to get hot water. Following these instructions, we never had a problem with hot water again.

I suspect that the cm in maintenance misspoke when he said that the water temperature was set at 108 degrees. It is improbable that Disney sets the water temperature this low because the local health code probably requires a higher temperature setting.

They must be reading it at the outlets where restrictors or mixing valves regulate temp.It would seem pretty hard to get an exact reading of 108degrees.Hot water temp should be warmer than 108.Remember Legionaires? Legionella the bacteria that causes this respiratory illness can thrive in lukewarm water. Any plumbing experts out there?
