Just highlights from our week dining at Disney:

We were able to book last minute Ohana reservations, for 2, at a good time for us at least 6:45pm, sat at a table for 3. We had originally dined here a few years ago and wasn't too impressed, or at least I wasn't but I wanted to try it again. Glad we did, I now will go from not recommending eating here, to can't wait to eat here again. Guess we had a bad server/meal last time.

Kona is still our favorite restaurant for dinner. Ate here twice for dinner.

If you go early for meals, right when they open for lunch, at least from the places we went to, they will probably seat you.

They did turn away a group of teenagers/20 somethings from Cali Grill for not dressed properly. They were checking in infront of us. One of the teen boys was wearing a tank top. But when he asked if he could put on one of the girls sweatshirts, they said that yes they would let them in. The girls had very very short jean shorts on, flip flops or sneakers and not even nice tops on (tanks - the guys tank top was nicer), guys grungy shorts & print t's. Also saw print ts in the restaurant, so for anyone worried about what to wear to a signature, as long at the guy isn't wearing a tank top and no holes, you'll be let in.

Finally after so many trips tried the famous dole whip float, have eaten a dole whip twist. Did not really like it & I like pinapple, threw out at least half if not more.

Went to Tony's for dinner. this is probably our 4th dinner there. We still like it. Is it the best italian place, no, but its not bad either, on par with an olive garden type italian place. We even went back for lunch later in the trip, had the same waiter and he was great.

First time at Whispering canyon for lunch. At least my meal was horrible. I got a grilled chicken sandwich. My grilled chicken sandwich at BK on the way home at the airport was 100% better. I just ate the chicken, bread was stale, topping on top was disguisting. I would have said something but our waitress was in character but I think her character was her actual personality of a mean old lets just say not nice person, so I wasn't in the mood to argue or say anything. My DH liked his meatloaf sandwich but the bread had SO much butter on it. & we tried the egg rolls, I didn't like them, my DH thought they were okay, they were so tiny too.

Unless the whole wheat buns are different at the CS in the parks (we didn't eat at the CS in any of the parks) than they are at the Contempo Cafe, I thought they were good, didn't fall apart.

Do not get the mahi mahi sandwich at Paris, but I still like their french onion soup.

First time eating at the Wave for dinner, sorry we haven't gone sooner. It was great. The lamb shank was probably better than I've had at Citricos and cost less too. It might have been my favorite meal the whole trip.

We ate at a some more during the trip if anyone wants to ask: LTT for lunch, Cali Grill, Sci Fi.

Thanks for the review! It looks like we share the same likes in dining options! I'm glad to know that Tony's was good. We have an ADR for next month but haven't eaten there in a dog's age!! We are bummed b/c we have been trying to book Ohana for dinner and the earliest they have anything is like 9:30pm for all 10 days we are there! We are staying at the Poly so we can check when we get there for any cancellations. We also have an ADR for Kona as well as other restaurants in the parks. Thanks!!

Keep checking for Ohana, or anything you want, there were a lot of options day of or day before, not everything, but a lot of restaurants, I even saw Chef Mickeys but for 2 people. People most likely cancel now because of the fee imposed.
The teriyaki steak at Kona was very good. My DH had tuna one night and he liked it. One night I just had sushi. We shared pot stickers 1 night and wings 1 night and they were good. Actually anything we've had there has been very good.

So glad you liked The Wave -- I think that restaurant is a hidden gem.

So sorry you didn't like Whispering Canyon. That is the only place we went back to on our second trip! But we went for dinner and had the skillet served family style - smoked chicken, ribs, brisket, etc... and it was WONDEFUL! Maybe for lunch or the non-skillet meals just aren't as good?

Awesome thank you!!

Thanks for the tips. It's a shame Disney doesn't hold up higher standard on the dress code in the signatures.

On our last trip, I dressed in a cute sundress & DBF in khaki shorts and a polo for all of our table service meals. It's always weird to me to see people somewhere like Le Cellier for dinner wearing tank tops and flip flops. In the real world I don't even do that :confused3
