Back from 5/22-27 Poly stay- Loved it, and the new mattresses!

Thanks for all the advice. I had thought about booking concierge and changed to a non-concierge room. We were very pleased with our rooms.
I requested Tokelau 3rd floor, and got it! After staying at the Anima Kingdom Lodge, the room seemed huge! And during our stay,we noticed that they were putting new mattresses in. Our room definitely had one. Much nicer and softer than our AKL mattresses, which were on the hard side....

We were so happy with the Poly! After reading all about some folks disappointment with concierge, i was worried that i wouldn't like our regular room, but it was in wonderful condition. Beautiful green granite in the shower.

A coffeemaker was in room (with all the supplies), but no refrigerator. it was supplied as soon as i requested.

My 5-year old son LOVED the Neverland Club. I was so happy to have it. He played there almost every night.

Wow. Thanks for the positive report. We leave in 22 days for our first trip to the Poly. Finally convinced my DH that we could not really experience the Disney "magic" unless we stayed on property. I am psyched and just focusing on having a good time no matter what happens. The only thing that concerns me are the crowds. Did you find it packed during your stay?

The Polynesian is a terrific resort. . .we love it, concierge or not--If you weren't comfortable with your concierge decision, you did the right thing--experience it without. Some day you too will be drawn to the dark side! There is no turning back from that!
