Just back and had great time. That said, it was INSPITE of Pop Warner. We stayed at Port Orleans Resort as we have before, beautiful resort, love it. However, this time we were unfortunate enough to share it with the Pop Warner crowd. On all previous visits, we have found the American people to be friendly, helpful and courteous, but these qualities do not seem to apply to some of these groups. The management told us they had thrown some parties off site and some of the rooms had been damaged. We had 2 nights of undisturbed sleep before asking to be moved to another resort. We moved to the Caribbean Beach, the management in both resorts very helpful. Night after night, these children ran riot around the pool and rooms, screaming at the top of their voices. The last night we stayed there, it was till 4.00 in the morning. Parents or chaperones were right there with them!!! Whatever happened to good old respect and consideration for other guests? Yes, we did ring security but it seemed they were unable to do anything. MAybe they were intimidated but the shear numbers, I don't know, but I'm VERY grateful we do not have cheerleaders etc. I really thought that because they work as a team and represent their schools and teams, they would behave well but a more self-centred, egotystical lot would be hard to find... At the other end of the scale, we saw groups well behaved, polite and a credit to their schools and country, a real pleasure to behold.. I hope the others haven't spolit the whole thing for them as well.

I am so sorry you had that experience. It seems to be out of favor to tell our children anything nowadays. Is sad. We caught the end of it but did not have anything really bad. Lots of kids around but no really bad behavior but then we were in the back of the building away from all the action. Did see a whole lot of debris that we do not usually see. Bet the chaperones were glad to get back home.

The kids out of control are so much more easily noticed than the many more who were well behaved.

Looking forward to visiting your country next year.

that you encountered this problem, unfortunately you are not alone, most everyone dreads going during Pop Warner times. I guess Disney makes plenty of money from that group otherwise I think they would have put a stop to it awhile ago. One suggestion I would have for Disney is to keep all Pop Warner in the same hotel, like all of AllStars. That way they would not disturb other guests and could stay at the pool without disrupting others trying to sleep. Although they must make money I know also that they do get discounts for suce a large number of guests. Actually I put most of the blame on the chaperones (and parents that joint the group). They should have curfews etc. and should be made to adhere to them. I know being young they want to laugh, run and have a good time but there must be a limit and standards set by the schools. The behavior I have seen by some of the chaperone's is astounding. As has been said this unruly behavior is not from all the cheerleaders, but as is always the case, it is most noticeabl. I hope you come back again and have a better experience. I visited your country a few years back and had a wonderful time. Merry Christmas.

Sorry this has happened to you, but as always there is a few bad apples in every group. Glad you could change resorts, sorry you had to. As said before Disney really should keep all groups at the same resort. We shouldn't have to putup with bad behavior if chaperones can't controll there group. Please come back again at a different time and enjoy your trip.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the cheerleaders. I was a cheerleader when I was young. My coach would have skinned us alive had we behaved that way. She made sure we did a good job of representing our school and our community. She was a huge inspiration to me and a wonderful role model. I learned valuable lessons of personal conduct and sportsmanship from her and I carried them with me throughout my entire life. It sounds like these kids could benefit from a good coach like that.

I am glad you managed to have a good trip, despite the Pop Warner kids.

Sorry to hear about your experience at POR. We had the very same problem in Dec. 2003. We were woke up more then once during the middle of the night by kids and ther parents ( chaperones ) yelling, slamming doors etc. We had to call security several times. When we got home we called Disney and they were very good at taking our complaints seriously. They gave us part of the cost of our room back. We stayed at POFQ in 2004 and a couple of weeks ago and just loved it. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE IN DECEMBER AGAIN !!!!!!!
