We just got back from the 12-12 4 night. You all were so helpful as I planned this trip and I am really grateful. This was my family's first cruise and we had a great time. I won't be writing a full report but here is a quick summary:

CC was definately the highlight of the trip. We had the most glorious weather on Casatway Cay. The snorkeling was incredible. Beautiful tropical fish everywhere- and they wern't shy- there was a group of about 20 fish that stuck with us through the whole trail! My 7 and 9 year old did the whole trail and loved it.

DS-2 was in Flounders for a few hours while we were on CC- that worked out well. We tried to use Flounders one night for dinner but it was packed with screaming babies and he couldn't deal with that so we had to pick him up and bring him to dinner. No big deal though. DS-7 and DD-9 spent some time in the lab but they weren't crazy about it so they were with us most of the time which was fine with us.

We saw Golden Mickeys which was terrific and Disney Dreams which I thought was mediocre. Missed Hercules and the ventriloquist. The food was really good- I wasn't expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was TOP NOTCH all the way. Servers were Anita and Erol and they were so nice. Stateroom host, Arturo was also excellent.

We had some seasickness but it didn't spoil our trip.

After the cruise we hit wdw for 3 days. That was a blast.
If anyone has any questions let me know-
Thanks again everyone!

Cool! Glad to hear it. I hadn't thought about the noise of all those kids in Flounders - you kind of picture it like the pictures, all tranquil and calm - not reality when dealing with that many children in disparent age groups.

Thanks for checking in.

THESE PICTURES ARE NOT IN ANY ORDER- SORRY. WE DID 1 NIGHT AT POP, THEN THE 4 NIGHT CRUISE, THEN 3 DAYS AT ALL STAR MOVIES-

A few questions if I might?

How did you handle the seasickness problem?

and I was wondering about doing WDW after a cruise-how was it? Do you feel wobbly for a bit once back on land?

Seasickness- the chewable Bonine made me so drowsy I had to stop taking it. Switched to less drowsy dramamine as needed. It worked ok but I was still feeling a bit queasy on the last night. The kids 7 and 9 both were feeling VERY sick despite dramamine :(. They each had one bad night.

As far as the parks go I am glad we did the parks after- I couldn't relax until I was on the ship- just worrying about documents, birth certificates... So if I did the parks first I would have had that stress with me.

I could still feel a little swaying for a few days after the cruise but it is just a mild thing and didn't affect our WDW days at all. Mostly I could just feel it at night when I would lie down.

The seasickness was only a minor inconvenience really- and I think we had pretty rough seas so maybe you will not have to worry about it.

Thanks, I'll go "supplied" and hope for the best!

BTW-great photos!

great pics! your daughter makes a beautiful snow white :flower1:

It was just like the pictures the first day that we used Flounders- he really enjoyed himself that day. But- you know how it is when one baby starts screaming- it causes a chain reaction. It was absolute mayhem in there when we went to pick him up. Those poor counselors.
