Well, we've just got back from a short cruise on P&O's Arcadia. We were in a suite and in accordance with my tag, the butler did indeed open the champagne. It was truly fantastic in the suite with a balcony so big that a party for 50 would have still had loads of room.

We have never before been so pampered with both a steward and the butler to look after our every need, including running up and down decks to change currency, book alternative dining venues, change CD or DVD, pour drinks, bring canapes etc, etc, etc - wonderful!

Sadly, it's now back to normal and washing and cleaning today!!!

Aww! Gilld - I do sympathise, Arcadia is fab isn't she?

Gill sounds like you had the perfect time, I know how you feel about the washing though:guilty:

Verity i would love to see Will young, I have heard some great things about him.

Glad you had such a lovely time :wizard:

For anyone interested in this who wants to try it and not go for a whole cruise......on the Arcadia there are 2 dates in the year (maybe when the ship is travelling between places?) when you can book a 2 night cruise. You travel just to Bruges spend the day there then then back to Southampton,it's called the Weekender.I am booked on the 7th April next year in the same suite as gilld had and the cost was £878 for 3 people, with an additional discount off that too.

I think thats a brill price to try a luxury cruise in a luxury suite, for the frist time :flower:

There are weekend cruises on most of P&O's ships, most years. Arcadia has 3 grades of suite, 2 with butlers. Ours cost more than £878 for the two of us but was worth every penny.

We take a full cruise with P&O each year, often to the Caribbean though next year we are going to Venice and Dubrovnik and the following year Hong Kong to Mumbai. The standards are high and the formality is a complete contrast to all our other holidays.

Gill - that sounds absolutely wonderful! Complete pampering :)

Kazzie - I bet you are looking forward to that. Fantastic :)
