Been back for a week, (it's always the part that I hate ;) ) and back into planning mode for May or June (hopefully).

Started in the Hilton at Gatwick, an executive room this time, which was very nice - in the new building.

Onwards to the checkin which was pretty empty and was soon on the way to the Clubhouse and looking forward to our first flights with the new suites.

We used some virgin points for this (always try and stress to friends that are starting to go to the US on a regular basis, that if they are happy with one airline ie Virgin, then stick to them - it doesn't take long to mount up the points and look what you get - Upper Class for around £84 each + a large fist full of points ;) )

Flight was just superb, the suites are great if a little private. There is a seat for your other half to seat opposite you for a drink or some food, but you certainly don't sit side by side, which kinda keeps the conversation to a minimum - might be a good thing ;)

Spent a couple of nights at the Hilton at Downtown before going to a one bedroom villa at Wilderness Lodge. Weather was a little mixed for the first few days, but made up for it the last 4 days. The villa was in great condition, with nothing broken or missing.

Seems to be a lot of maintainence going on all around WDW and the resorts which is nice to see after a few years of very basic painting etc happening. Even a few roads getting resurfaced, as well as a lot of landscaping.

Did notice a severe drop in the driving standards along with around 20 or so accidents which is much more than usual. Infact was nearly t-boned twice pulling away from the gates into magic kingdom heading for wildernesslodge. Indicators seem to be an optional extra.

Had some nice meals and found the outlets very reasonably priced.

Had a quick look round Saratoga, which looks like its going to be massive and could be quite tempted by the offer thats on at the moment with the extra 100 points for the first year.

The icing on the cake was the flight back, which was substituted with a Heathrow jumbo, which of course had the revered V-Port. This is so good. I just hope they eventually get round to fitting this to the Gatwick planes.

Any questions - fire away.

regards

David :)

do you fly with virgin, if so how do you get the points.

We have booked a flydrive with virgin first flight in 2 weeks, and the second is booked for june 2006. We booked via a travel agent.

What is virgin like for service.

We are off on our first stay at VWL next month, tell me more about it? Why do you like it. How frequent is the boat to MK? Do you know the times it ran? Does it go straight there or stop off anywhere? Have you got any VWL piccies to share??

:)

That sounds like a loveoly trip - and I can't believe the price you paid for those seats! Fantastic!
