I voted "no", although if the bride wanted the mothers there then that is fine. My bigger question is why would they want to be there??? I can see popping in for the early evening festivities, but would you really want to be there clubbing with your DD? The funny thing is, I have a very dear friend who is getting married next month and her bachelorette party is Saturday night. She told me all summer she wants me to attend and so I am attending for a few hours, but really it is because I told her I would. My idea of a great Saturday night is if I rent a good movie and curl up in a blanket eating popcorn. The thought of dressing up and going to noisy night clubs with a bunch of kids who are young enough to be my children really isn't all that appealling. I'll go though, because I love this girl to death and she has been there for me so many times. Perhaps we could work something out and the future MOB in question could substitute for me and go in my place. She would get her party, her DD would have her time with her friends, and I would get my Saturday night curled up on the couch. Win - win - win!

:lmao: A co-worker went to both of her dd's bachelorette parties. Now this is a very motherly, sweet woman--she's not pushy in the least. Her dd's insisted and Mom also got to be the designated driver. :thumbsup2

For my SIL, I can answer that questions. She would want to be there, because she thinks she should be able to do what her 25 year old daughter is doing.

Niece was 20, dating a 26 year old. SIL was 42 and thought she should be able to date a 26 year old. So she did.

Niece high and low lights her blond hair. SIL thinks she should have blond hair too, so she bleachs it bright white blond.

Niece wears hip hugger jeans, is about a 34B, so the form fitting shirts look cute on her. SIL is about 60 lbs heavier carring it all around her mid section, is a 38C, but thinks because her daughter can wear the current fashions, she can too. It doesn't look good...AT ALL!! All 3 of her daughters have told her she looks horrid when she wears her "I'm 40+, but act 18" clothes.

I know my niece was really glad that her mom wasn't in state for her bachelorette party, she would have made the party a nightmare for all of her daughters. SIL was always trying to get our neice and her friends to go out bar hopping with her. Did it once and swore she would never do it again.
