Babysitting

Does anyone know anything about the babysitting services. I am not looking at getting rid of my kids - honest. But an evening out would be quite nice, alternatively does anyone know if the kinder-care facility(the day care centre) accepts non disney hotel residents or if it is only for disney guests.

Jax, I think anyone can use it on a first come first served basis. In addition to KinderCare, offsite guests can also use Disney's clubs such as the Neverland Club at the Poly, Cub's Den at WL etc. Again it's first come first served and the guests at that particualr hotel are given priority, followed by guests at other onsite resorts, followed by offsite guests.

The WDW clubs you can book over the phone I think.

We've used The Cubs Den and The Neverland Club for our two when they were younger - they prefered The Neverland Club.

Last year we used Fairy Godmothers to enable us to have a night out at Pleasure Island.

We stayed offsite and used a company called Kids Nite Out. If you do a web search with this name their website should come up. We found them very reliable, helpful and more reasonably priced than the other local companies. They will come to your hotel/villa for as long as you need and are available day or night. It was so worth the money to have an adult night out.

Thanks guys for that. I have seen the kids nite out and kinder care links before but have been unable to find their website - but i did this time. The other link unfortunately the place is closed for refurb until 31march so we can't use there. But thanks for the hints.
I am a trained nursery nurse so the thought of leaving them with strangers, in a different country is not completely alarming as i know they have all the checks in place but if people have had experience it is great to go on recommendations.
