Babysitting

Has anyone used the onsite babysitters offered by the hotels.

We are going to CSR in March 2010 and are there for 10 nights so quite fancy an adult night out one night.

Any advice would be appreciated.

We used the Cubs Den at WL last June. DS was 9 and DD was 5. He loved it, she ate dinner then cried until she fell asleep! But, we're gonna try again next year. They were really good at dealing with DD's issues, called us and let her speak with us, got her brother to try to calm her. No complaints about how they handled the situation. We're going to try the Neverland Club next time, seems to have a LOT more stuff to do, more theming, a dinner buffet instead of just picking one choice. Cubs Den had movies, video games, board games, coloring, dolls. They also had a sandy playground area outside with pails and shovels and trucks to play with in the sand, but it had rained and they didn't use it that night. I think the usefulness and value of the clubs depend on your individual children. Some really have separation anxiety and it's not worth the stress for everyone involved. Maybe a service like Kids Night Out would be better, where it's more one on one (or two). After showing my kids pics of the Neverland Club, they can't wait until next year, even DD! HTH

Thanks did not know about the club, will look in to this.

I was thinking of someone to sit in with them, youngest one will probably be tired as we will have been there a week, so we were going to get her to sleep then get someone to stay in with them.

We go to Disney a couple of times a year and always use Kids Nite Out.
Extremely professional and my boys (now aged 2 1/2 and 5) had a great time with the sitter. They stay in the room with the kiddos (however, we've used the same girl, Ashley, every time so we're pretty comfortable with her now... and the last time we were at Disney, she took them outside to look for turtles while we were staying at Saratoga Springs). They have college-aged, mom aged, grandma aged, and men. If you're uncomfortable with any of those types sitting with your kids, they'll gladly accomodate you.
