Well, I used to just watch my sibs. Then last week, I started watching this little boy. Then his g-ma lost her job. Now, I'm not babysitting til his grandma gets another job.

For one day, I was paid $17 for 5.5 hrs.

But for watching my sibs, I dont usually get paid.

How much do you make and hour? I don't get anything for babysitting my sister, and I get 2 bucks an hour to babysit the other one. I would usually babysit for free, but his mom offered money, so I take what I can get.

Who do you Sit the most? I had a steady sitting job with my neighbors... I watched their two daughters for almost four years. but then the eldest daughter turned 13 and her parents decided she could watch her self and her sister and didn't need a sitter.
But I've also sat for my other neighbors. and I hate it... cuz they have 7 kids. It's not so bad anymore cuz the oldest is now 13 and she helps alot, but the youngest is still only 3. But one time that I sat for them, the oldest wasn't there to help me. talk about going CRAZY.

How much do you make an hour? Normally $8. But I get paid $10 whenever I sit for the 7 kids. lol

I'm not a teen, but a mom here. I pay my sitter (a teenager) $10 an hour to watch my 8year old son while he's awake. if she's ever there just while he's sleeping, I pay her $6 an hour, since she's free to sleep, watch tv, use the phone, computer, etc.

I baby-sit my neighbors and kids at my mom's daycare. I usually make $5 a kid per hour. So that means if I baby-sit two kids for an hour, I'll get $10 or if I baby-sit two kids for two hous, I'll get $20.

one of us would go on mondays & one would go wedsndays.

there was a girl, 7 (samantha) and a boy 4(cole)

we only got paid 5$ an hour which was FAAAR too little.

Samantha was a terror 80% of the time, but when she wasn't being a terror she was a real sweetheart.

Cole was the most precious child I have ever met in my life, such a sweetie, but Samantha could influence him to do reeeally bad stuff.

I HATED babysitting while I did it (for 2.5 years) but they moved away this winter and I miss them to death!!!!

I'd gladly take my 5$ an hour back to hang out with them again!

How much do you make an hour? depends on the people I'm babysitting for. I accept whatever they choose to pay me.

When I used to babysit I charged 8$ an hour for one kid. 4$ a kid after that.

Ages 0-8 only.

I wouldn't go to other people's houses.

And the Max. number of hours they could stay with me was 10.

I had some other really strict rules, but hey I wasn't going to stress myself out.


For about 2 years I babysat two litlle girls. One was an infant when I started the other was 3 years old. Maddie and Lilian.

Cutest and most well behaved kids ever. I miss them. They moved to Colorado.

Yes, I do babysit. I have since I was 8. I mostly babysit my cousins but I've babysat neighbors, friend's siblings, etc. I make what they give me. I think it's rude to specify an amount.
