OK, so my DW, DS (12) and DD (7, Olivia to the rest of the world...."Punkin" to me) are arriving at the WL on 1/1/2007 for our third Disney vacation in 5 years. As a suprise Christmas present to my DW I have purchased tickets to Cirque on 1/3 (the 9:00pm show). My Mother was supposed to be joining us on that day as a suprise for my DD and was going to be able to take care of the kids that evening, allowing my DW and I to attend the show. Now my Mom may not be able to make it as planned. So what are my options for babysitting service at WL? We will only need coverage from 8:00 untill ~11:00 or so.

Thanks in advance for ANY help! I'm starting to panic!! The tickets are not cheap and are non-refundable!!!

There is a kid's club at WL, they will be very happy spending the evening there. Your older one is at the top age limit; if she was over 12 this option wouldn't work. If you want to make it more fun, you could take them to the Poly to the NL club; most kids think it's the best club on property. Last time we used them they were $12/hr/child, with a 3 hr. minimum. In-room babysitting is considerably more expensive.

All of the kids' clubs close at midnight, so no dawdling on the way back from the show.

We used Kids Nite Out - and were very satisfied. I know it is more, but if you think you will be late or want to take some time around DTD after the show this might be a better option. The sitters will ask permission to take your kids out to the lobby - or game room maybe - so perhaps there are interesting things they can do then. Ours also asked what time was bed time and if movies or cartoons could be on.

:thumbsup2 Thanks so much! I'm calling them today!!

What a great forum this is. I'm going to have to consider doing a TR.
