Babysitting at the Poly for 12 year old DD and 6 year old DS

Hi all! I just found out about disboards through tourguidemike and I decided to check it out...I will be vacationing at poly and was wondering if anyone has had experiance with the child care program there...I have a 12 year old DD and was wondering if she would feel akward.
Any Experiances? Pictures would be great...

My kids have been to 2 of the babysitting clubs-- Club Simba and the Sandcastle Club and they love them. They actually asked to go back, so in August they are going into the Sandcastle Club while we eat at the Yachtsman. They are 9yo and 5 yo.

Your 12 yo may be a little old, but the 6 yo should love it.

It would depend on your 12 year old.

We have been leaving our kids at Simba's Cubhouse (AKL) & The Neverland Club (Polynesian) for years. DS turns 13 in November so we have one more trip (august) when we can use them - and boy will we miss them as lately we have been going out two nights a trip while the kids are in child care..

I digress..

Your 12 year old will be older than most of the other kids. My ds brings his gameboy and usually finds a corner or comfy spot and hangs out there. The Neverland Club also has a couple of video games and he'll venture out and play them. Dd8 loves all the arts & crafts and usually comes out with a pile of things she has made.

Your dd will survive...she may even like the break.

Sorry..no pictures...not sure if they allow any due to the privacy issue? Unless someone got in there when it was empty. Adults aren't even allowed in past the door. (Kids go in through the window. )

Just so you know...kids can only use the clubs up to the age of 12...once they are 13 they can no longer use them. Not sure how old your dd will be by your next trip - if she is 12 NOW...or will be 12 when you go..

sorry I meant November 2007...her birthday was this may so in November she will still be 12

That is what I thought but on our trip in June DD10 told me there was a 13yr old in the club one night. Can't remember if it was the Sandcastle or Neverland club as they went to both but she was adamant that he was 13.

Our kids have been to the Neverland and Sandcastle clubs and LOVE them. They look forward to their time there and we now work that into our schedule.
