Babysitters while at WDW?

We are going with our two kids in April. I'd love to have one evening alone with my husband for dinner, but I'm never big on leaving the kids with a sitter. Being on vacation only makes me more nervous about it. Anyone have any advice and/or names and prices of reputable sitter services?

Depending on where you're staying, Disney has "Kids Clubs" at some of the resorts. The are open in the evening and have games, crafts, etc.

Also, I feel the same as you about leaving my kids with a sitter so I cannot personally vouch for the following service as I've never used it. However, when exploring the Disney site, it seems they partner with Kids Nite Out which provides in-room babysitting and also Mother's Helpers, etc.

Maybe another DISer has actually used this service and can give some personal insight.

I plan on using KNO when I go so I can ride some of the bigger thrill rides with my cousin. KNO charges about $16 an hour I believe. All of their sitters undergo criminal background checks and the service is very reputable. You can always check out their website if you are curious.

The Kids clubs are children over the age of 4 that are potty trained.Disney is very strict on the age requiremnts due to govt regulations. They are found at deluxe resorts only and not all deluxe resorts have them. They are open 430p-12am and dinner is provided. the cost is $11/hr per child.Reservations are required ,they do take some walk ins first come first serve. A credit card guarantee is required and cancellations must be 24 hrs in advance or a $20 fee per child is charged for no show.We brought our 4 yr old to the Sandcastle club at BC and it was the highlight of her trip.

I have reserved Fairy Godmothers one night (Jan 21) to stay in the room while the kids are sleeping, so DH and I can have "date night." Keep in touch and I'll let you know how it goes.

my question is if we are staying at the CBR can we use the kids club at the wilderness lodge we used it when we stayed there in 2007 and the kids loved it ???

Yes, anyone can use the kids clubs. We stayed at POFQ our last trip and our kids went to the Neverland Club at the Polynesian. They loved it and can't wait to go back on our next trip.

thank you you just made my day and night HA HA HA. How did you arrange it did you call over there went you checked ?? Wait til my DH gets home from work and i tell him he will be SOOOOO HAPPPY

We used Neverland Club at Poly when we stayed at POR. It was awesome. :thumbsup2

On our last trip, we used the Sandcastle Club at YC/BC while DH and I dined at Yachtsman. DS loved it, he was there for about 2 hours. He played with toys, video games, watched Disney dvds, had dinner (hot dogs), and made a keychain. He had 1-on-1 attention there were so few children there that night. I liked sending him there because it was a 5 min walk from where we were, and it was secure, AND he had fun.

I'm like you, I don't use sitters often, but we wanted some time alone at WDW, so we used Kids Nite Out. They were great. Because I have twins (and an older child) and they were only 10-months old at the time, we had to get two, but it was worth every penny. We're using them again in December.
