Hello everyone!! I am a long time discussion board reader, but have never taken the leap to create my own reports! In researching for our upcoming trip, I noticed a lack of trip reports including babies the age of our son, so I thought maybe this would be helpful for others! :) Let me introduce myself & my family! This is my husband, Ben, and me (Emily) on a very special trip to DLR back in June 2014 when he proposed to me in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle:

We have now been happily married for over four years!! We decided to make big life events a thing at Disney parks, because here we are at WDW in November 2017 announcing an addition to our family:

And one year later our sweet son, Matthew, was able to wear those ears, though I would've preferred it was actually at the parks!

That was November 2018, here is a current picture, just about one week from his 1st birthday (May23rd)!!

I can't wait for his party next weekend, we are of course having a Mickey Mouse themed 1st birthday party!! But anyways, back to our upcoming trip plans!!

When: December 31st, 2019-January 6th, 2020
Where: Pop Century Resort
Who: So far just the three of us, though I am trying to get my mom, dad and sister on board to join in on Matthew's 1st trip (and to help us do some rider swap ;) )
Why: Matthew will be free & Ben still hasn't been to all four parks yet, so we've really been saving up! Plus we eventually want another to add to our family, but I also want to ride all the rides before we start planning for baby #2!!

Those are the details for now, but they are all still pretty tentative! I know that time of year will be crazy, but unfortunately I am confined to a school schedule, working as a School Psychologist full time. I think my school would frown on me taking a full week off that isn't already a school holiday, so we're stuck with peak times only for now! I've been to WDW this time of year before and aside from NYE (which is our travel day & going to be an early night with our 1 year old anyways), we found the 1st week of January to be not so bad, especially when it comes to temperature!

I think that will be all for now, stay tuned for our *ideal* dining plans next, since I know our 180 day booking window comes open in just a little over a month!! Help us out with those plans, any favorite places for taking a wiggly one year old (and still enjoy as adults?) We plan to get the Dining Plan & have a few character meals in mind already, but I'm open for suggestions!! Thanks for joining us as we plan a whole new world :earboy2:of Disney vacations with a budding toddler in tow!!
